I'm going! Anyone else going?
London Skolars are almost certain to attract a record crowd to White Hart Lane on Friday 29 August for their annual Friday Night Lights game. Ticket sales have broken all previous records for the London Skolars v Keighley Cougars Cooperative National League 2 fixture so much so that extra personnel have been employed in the club offices to cater for demand. The club announced that ticket sales were 150% ahead of last year at the equivalent time and enquiries have been unprecedented. The club is expecting a record crowd in excess of 2,000.
The Friday Night Lights game on the eve of the Carnegie Challenge Cup Final has really taken off this year, said Skolars General Manager Ben Araud. London RL fans have really got behind the event and fans travelling fans down from all over the country to the capital have really warmed to the concept of National League rugby as an appetizer to the main event at Wembley. And its not just St Helens and Hull fans weve had people buying tickets from all over the UK. They realise what a great opportunity it is to watch quality rugby league, have a few drinks and kick the weekend off in style.
It is the last game of the season for Skolars, following this Saturdays game with Blackpool Panthers at White Hart Lane Community Sports Stadium, and Tony Bensons side are hoping that two victories will see them match last seasons achievements of finishing just one place outside the play-offs.
Haringey Council have also got actively involved with Friday Night Lights and have really pushed this to the 300,000 people who live in the Borough, explains Araud. The event really does give the club a chance to establish itself in the local community. There will be many different attractions to the night and I would advise everyone who can to make it to White Hart Lane that night. There will be something for everyone. Real ale festival, pre match entertainment, electric atmosphere and much more!
Tickets prices are full price £12 admission with Concessions at £6 (Over 60, Students) and Kids (under 15) at £1.
For ticket booking please contact info@skolars.com or call 0208 802 3033 . For more information please log onto www.skolars.com.
