Some things I really don't get about their coverage:

1) No instant replay - a big hit happens. In the NRL they bring out the Brut Big Hit sign, they show you everything from close up and slow motion. In SL they go on like nothing happenned, they continue showing scoots like I'd be missing something.

2) I think they haven't changed the intro, graphics and that annoying techno song (I think it's a remix of Two tribes go to war) for about three years.

3) They seem not to get excited about games that don't involve the big clubs. Openning round of Crusaders v Leeds they were asleep at the mic. I know it's not terribly exciting for fans, but the commentators are there to hype anything they comment on.

What do you all think?

I would actually go the other way, I think they spend too much time hyping up average plays and teams. You often hear Phil Clarke saying how 'amazing' a play was, or Stevo talking about how something is 'superb' when really it was just a run of the mill play that you would expect the player to make. Also not really noticed a problem with the replays, although obviously we can't watch NRL here at the moment so nothing really to compare it to. One thing is for sure; compared to the alternative here (BBC), Sky's coverage seems top-notch.

SKY sports coverage and the commentators are terrible

Brian Carney is a shining light in an otherwise terrible package

After seeing the Challenge Cup match between Leeds and Hull FC I believe Evil Homer has a very good point.

That guy who is suppose to be the expert has SUCH an annoying voice!

Jonathan Davies and his whiny welsh accent, was a good player but as a pundit he is out of touch with the game, spends too much of his time watching union as part of his job as a "Rugby" expert with the BBC.

I don't mind the accent. I mind the tone or colour of his voice - he sounds like he's constantly whining.
