slipknot: subliminal verses

Just brought my first metal/nu-metal albums in years and i have to say i'm retty impresseed with what slipknot has offered up. after buying iowa because the self titled album was great and being incredibly disappointed. with subliminal verses the guitars are faster flashier solo's and have a real grind about them. the drums as usual are great and some of joey kick patterns are great to hear. solo's on pulse of the maggots is bloody awesome. never knew mick or jim could play like that

basically i'm very impressed with the new slipknot album despite not being a metal/ nu metal an anymore.

anyone else got it or an opinion on it

I still prefer selftitled. I dont know what it is about this one.. I still like it.. I think they needed a better song to start the cd off, prelude 3.0 sounds lame.

Any way, I've heard 3 songs and they were a lot different to their other stuff. I have 'Iowa' and dislike it immensely, but although the new songs are probably better. More 'metalcore' perhaps, I still wouldn't pick it up.

I don't mind the new Slipknot album. It goes ok for a Anti-Metal fan.
