SMEGS once in a generation player

... has been out injured and in the meantime some other guy is filling in on the wing. He may chalk up a few tries and break the line occasionally but he pales in comparison to Junior Burger!!

We ought to be excited that within a few games the club's No.1 winger will return from injury and resume his role as the try butcher.

Ryan is a pretty decent PL centre. A FG winger he is not. Just doesn't have to pace to play outside Collis. Bombed plenty of trys and the ones he have scored were walk ins.

Ryan looks like a good enough winger to me. Probably better suited to centre or fullback though, but more than handy on the wing.

Twice the player McDonnell is thats for sure. Owns him in just about every attribute, except for having a dad who is the recruitment manager, obviously.

As i`ve said quite a few times, I really rate Beau Ryan, he`s whole hearted enthusiastic and has his fair share of ability to go with it.
However, the teams just come off a good win, Shannon McDonnell hasn`t played for 4-5 weeks and some of you on here still want to come out and bag him ???

Ryan is a player who could play 1 thru 6 without any problems. He may not have Junior Burgers pace, but he is daylight ahead of him in every other skill required to play in a backline at FG standard. With wing being such a important defensive postion these day blistering pace isnt so important. Of course while on the topic of pace, JB's pace seems to have deserted him this year although that might have somthing to do with doggy hamstrings. Anyway from what I have seen this year he must be in the 17 and maybe next year their will be room for both of them although if it came down to a choice--THEIRS NO CHOICE see yah JB

 Once in a generation player. Some of the poorest bait I have ever read on this forum which is saying something.

The fact that you make up lies about my opinions on McDonnell just shows what a pathetic gutless little turd you are. But a weak merkin like you will never change

i liked beau the first time i saw him in black and white. good to see him going well. but you don't want him at fullback. he's filled in there when gallant wasn't playing and it wasn't pretty.

Ahh I was being facetious you "pathetic gutless little turd". I really didn't expect to elicit such a vitriolic response from The Importance of Being Earnest.

I was alluding to how you regularly defend JB and appear to rate him a better winger than Beau Ryan. The title was simply a reference to the other post about Benji.

Continuing fighting the good fight, Smeg. A bit of advice- don't take yourself so seriously because nobody else does...

He is a better winger than Ryan IMHO.

Ryan is a very gifted centre and room should be found for him there next season.

 Go hard douche

You sh*t merkin pathetic turd eating fat sh*t something something.

Ahh that was therapeutic. It never felt so empowering on the high horse...

BTW to adopt one of Tim Sheen's favourite expressions ' Beau Ryan is our number one 5 and probably number two 3.'

I hope for every opposition defender's sake that Laurie is a once in a generation player. The guy is bound to actually trample someone into dust sooner or later. Scary as hell.

Anyone who thinks JB is even close to Ryan when it comes to being a footballer should apply for a job as recruitment officer at the WT and keep the same standards we have now

Beau is the most improved player in the NRL this season, last season he had a couple of games and really didn't show much, this year he has proven he has no trouble managing NRL and is probably our clubs best winger.

I think Beau's really stepped up this year and it surprises me that people still consider JB a better winger. Beau also seems to fire the other boys up as well, which is always a good thing.

Beau has been our best back all year.

beau is our clubs best winger this season without a doubt, mcdonnell would have bombed both those tries yesterday. tuiaki is starting to come on a bit now since the warriors game.
