When Cronk came on the market we had already signed Hunt many of us myself included thought did we go too early in signing Hunt. After 5 rounds Ben Hunt has hit the ground running and has been a spectacular addition to the team. Watching Cooper Cronk he seems frustrated at times and so far has not performed to his Melbourne standards.

This thread is rhetorical and stating the bloody obvious.Roosters problem is a vast majority of the side is aware of the money 2 or 4 of their team mates are on. Team of superstars .

I’m still expecting the Roosters to fire towards the end of the year.

Everyone goes on about their forwards but JWH, Napa, Taukeahio, Cordner, Friend etc aren’t mugs.

And surely they have the most potent backs in the comp.

It’s a new team so will likely need time. If they don’t perform, I’m calling out Robinson for not getting this team firing.

Agree Pro Dragons. Three clubs buying half's.

Hunt was welcomed with open arms and said he can improve at the Dragons and Pearce showing he is a very good for NTL and it's showing on the table.

Maybe, Cooper's wasn't so welcome.

You should check out the Roosters facebook page. They're condemning their forward pack and Robinson. Not happy latte sippers atm.

While we are the subject of Napa, how come week after week he gets away with blatant shoulder charges?

Cronk looks like he hasn't connected with the team. He is trying a lot things on the field but doesn't have the support of his team mates.
I hope that the chooks won't gel until after the ANZAC day round 8.

Not surprising, did you see the way he talked to half the team last night, he was very condescending at times, I don't thinks he's going to be very well liked.
Especially as on a couple of occasions he kicked for touch in attacking positions, I don't understand that one.

The obvious answer is Hunt & long may it continue. He is making the most of our forwards as well as a strong running Widdop - f**k we look good!
As for the Chooks, Cronk sure isn’t the problem. Their front row is very ordinary. Jake Friend is way off the pace(almost Rein like!) whilst Napa & JWH are in the exact same form as last year - minimal impact. They have a lot of areas to improve. I just hope it’s after Anzac Day.

Yes, I think a dragons forum is the perfect place to get a levelled, unbiased opinion on this!

Seriously though, Hunt was always the better signing for us. We have a true halfback locked up for 5 years. Had we signed Cronk, we'd be looking at 2 years before we are back in the same mess we've been in since 2013.

Cronk greatly misses Cam Smith who called the shots.
Cronk has always called the shots.

What's missing now is that Smith delivered excellent wide ball when Cronk demanded it, and the players outside him knew their role.

You need to remember the roosters pack got absolutely dominated last night.
And under those conditions no half is going to look good.

In contrast dragons pack has performed very well in every game i have seen this year.

It is not fair to bag cronk.

Ben hunt is a better signing as cronk has 2 years left. Whilst hunt is entering his peak.

The problem with cronk signing is if the roosters dont win a comp in the next 2 years then it has been a failure. That is the pass mark for them.

This. Cronk was the general in every team he’s played in, at Melbourne his brilliance relied on drilled attacking structure and every player knowing where to be.

Roosters don’t have that discipline. At least not this early in the season.
