i recon NSWRL should bring a under 22 competition that would work the same as the old flegg comp also involving players from the area and contracted players who are not goin to be playing in the NSW CUP or NRL side and the side can have players from the NYC dropped back which will also be a strong competition otherwise we will lose players to other sports or countries and run the competition along side the NSW CUP and keep tthe same system as NSW CUP so NORTHS and wests will have two teams etc what do you guys recon and does anyone have any contact details so i can propose this to the nsw rugby league

Not many clubs will be willing to fund another Age division.
These guys have to play open footy at some stage.
That is the reason the Jim Beam Cup is there for. To pick up the guys better than park footy and maybe not quite ready for NSW Cup or simply dont want to play NSW Cup or Park ffoty and still want to play a decent grade of footbal.
Remember that not all players are going to cut it, and many players who were dominant or quality players as juniors often fade away when they step up into open age footy.

I believe that the U20's should be bumped up to either of its former age brackets, the U21's or the U23's. That way players are retained and can improve their skills over an extended period of time.

If they've been through a tough enough comp like the under 20's (which filters good from spectacular)...and too old and cannot crack nsw cup...than maybe they're just not good enough.......

No point introducing under 23's because itll probably serve as dead weight where most "good" players under 23 will be either playing 1st grade or reserve grade (nsw cup).

There is no point stringing players along. Jim Beam Cup is a decent enough standard for players who don't go straight into NSW Cup.
