I was just wondering if someone with an ear to the ground may enlighen us that have not,;-) as to a few issues for season 2008:

Q1: Will Newtown be fielding a Jim beam Cup side for season 2008 ??? Has the season away from this comp ( when it had only just really kicked off, ( made Fox etc ) and havin made the 2006 grandfinal and everything !! ) achieved the savin of funds that may now be available to field such a team upon the soil of the to be Re-Faced Henson.
And as such by doing so give us exposure on FOX and have a back bone for upcoming talent to the Re-shaped P/league competition, when and so required ???

Q2: Good luck to Greg for the coaching role in season 2008. Atleast he more than likely gives more than a flyin one than that other bloke who was NEVER gonna fill the passionate shoes of Col MURPHY, and obviously only wanted personal advancement in either case, not a BLUEBAGS victory , as such. BUT. Was Col approached at all prior to Greg, or did the club find that a far too horizontal pill to swallow without the water that the innocent would have at hand ??

Bring on 2008. GO THE BLUES !!!

PS... Bears for the 2007 premiership !!!!

I heard the new comp may be televised?

the season result is a pretty poor advertisement for advancement ;-) maybe there's a spot for the outgoing coach over at the Auburn Alligators
?

it was good I agree but I believe that a lack of support played a part in it's demise? Getting to the games in previous years & seeing a handfull of supporters watching Jim Beam go round was a signal of things to come..................people need to stream through the gate earlier than 15 minutes before Premier League kick off imo!!!!

Jim Beam was a great lead into the main game but as we seen it was poorly supported.......a lot of the other teams in that comp have big leagues clubs to foot the bill so I suppose for them it matters not if they get a lousy fan turnout :?

Well if this being the case, should we not pump up our A league ranks as potential reserves etc.

1. No JBC next year. Still can't afford it.
2. I don't know if he was approached but going to those old JBC games, you'd all know how passionate Matto is. He stayed here, almost certainly below his market value despite the advances of other clubs. He is a good man and will do the club proud.

Bull !

They could of afforded it if they didnt pay that idiot general manager the amount they paid him for 2 years. That was about $160K worth! enought to put some sort of team on the field.

But what have they done with the excess - i know some the suppliers are asking hte same!!

Missappropriation of funds other companies would call it! wonder what spin the jets put it!
