None of them have really made the grade yet mate... Gleeson, Colbon and Hargreaves have had a few good games for Wigan.

Joel Tomkins was brilliant in the latest england academy game.

Scott Moore and Paul Clogh are also fine yound prospects both only 17 and have made there debuts for Saints.

In fact Scott Moore is the youngest ever player to score in super league ( 16).

Yepp they sure do have potential mate.. well thats Scott Moore and Paul Clough anyway.

Both are tipped to be GB internationals..... Richard Horne ( who is likely to be GB stand off in tri nations ) was played off the park my Moore at the weekend.

Many people at Saints believe Moore will be one of the best.

John Walker - 18yo old centre, strong and good defensive player. Probably behind Gleeson, Ashton and Daryl Goulding in the pecking order.

Ben Kavanagh - Big 2nd rower still only 17, highly rated and recently made Eng u/18. Big future.

Sean Gleeson - 17yo centre, good hands and good on his feet. Wigan coaching staff say he will go all the way.

Chris Ashton - 18yo centre I rate highly because he is aggressive in defence and gives his wingers good service. Eng u/18 2004 & 2005

Peter Lupton - Handy player at SL level but will never be more than that. 23yo.

Bob Beswick - Eng u/18 2002. utility forward. Probablywon't progress any more than SL squad player.

Simon Grix - Newcastle Knights scouts were impressed enough in 2004 to try and tempt him to Newy but he signed for Warrington instead and he badly broke his ankle earlier this year. Can play anywhere in the backs and also at no.13

Michael McIllorum - 17 yo hooker, has potential to make it big.

Grahame Horne - Hasn't really kicked on but still only 20, he needs to find his right position because being a utility he gets moved about to much. I think he is best at lock.

Bryn Hargreaves - 19yo prop, has been much more impressive that Jerry Seu Seu but I think Wigans other 19yo prop Paul Prescott has more potential. He's out for the year though.

Andy Bracek - 18yo prop/2ndrower, def one for the future.

Joel Tompkins - 18yo lock, same as Bracek. Good talent

Liam Colbon - Part of the reason Wigan will flick Dallas. Promising winger. 20yo

Danny Washbrook - 19yo 5/8 good skills def one for the future.

James Coyle - was outstanding for Eng u/18 v Australia last year, his 17yo brother Thomas is even better.

futures wise though.

Do they have potential?

Many of the players mentioned were in the GB sides that walloped the Australian Combined High Schools Home and away.

Some were in the GB side that walloped the AIS Touring team.

if thats a guide to their potential then they are doing ok.

Woah mate.

A guy is taking an interest in our comp and players. Just because there's a lot of Wiganers on there, it's no reason to call him a tool. Living on the other side of the globe, he doesn't get to see our youngsters or hear much about them. He was only taking the time to ask about British players with bright futures and learn a bit about the game outside his country.
