souths to make the 8 if?

1. john sutton to lock.

2. nathan merritt to fullback.

3. greg inglis to 5/8 to partner chris sandow at halfback.

4. chris mcqueen and kane morgan to play on the wing.

5. junior vai vai to the centres partnering dylan farrell.

6. david taylor to prop.

7. beau falloon to the bench.

8. lastly lets hope sam burgess, roy asotasi, ben lowe will all have a speedy recovery as soon as possible, and who knows scott geddes and luke stuart may make a surprise comeback before the end of the season.
Go the mighty rabbitohs the pride of the league second to none!!!!

Here we go again... Sutton to lock, that's a joke. Friday night showed what a pack should be about. The game changed when we had more goers on the field. Clarke was great, keen to do the work and made a massive difference to the team's performance. I just cannot see Sutton having the same effect. Sutton has proven he cannot cope with his current workload on the edges at 5/8 how could he play lock.

I agree with some of your choices, but why would we drop Roberts? He is already playing better than Morgan did. Besides Morgan injured his knee on the weekend and is out for the season

Beau Falloon to bench? Don't see what that would do, if we need a back up hooker we'll use Crocker or Clarke.

Sutton has never had the workload capacity to play at lock. He does not have a second effort in him. Defensively he thinks for himself and not the team. Dallas Johnson, Corey Parker and co. prove every week what a lock should be achieving for their respective teams. Not a role Sutton is able to play for the Rabbits.

Souths have won more games with Sutton at 5/8 than not. If anyone bothers to check , when Sutton has been injured and out of the games , we have lost greater % of games compare to when he played. Fact is , if Sutton had played in the games he missed and the results of those games were on same % as those he did play, we would have made Finals another 3 times. so please stop beating a myth ,
Sutton not a 5/8 my arse . He is not a Benji. He is a Sutton.

1. John sutton has to be moved from 5/8 to lock that's my belief any coach in the nrl knows that he is not a 5/8 he has played lock before many years ago and is more suited to this position than at 5/8.

2. Shaune corrigan has a slightly bit more 1st grade experience having played 5 games to james roberts 2 games for souths in 1st grade. But im sure johnny lang will use james roberts on the wing for now, but Nathan merritt definately has to be at fullback.

3. Beau falloon is the only choice to go to the bench because he has had 25 nrl games for souths unlike young george burgess who has had zero nrl games.

4. George burgess is not up to 1st grade material this year maybe next year in 2011 he will play a few games off the bench. That's why i pick beau falloon who has played 25 1st grade games for souths and beau falloon can play in a few more positions than young george burgess can if needed.

5. And lastly Greg inglis needs to be at 5/8 to get him more involved in the game especially to get the football in his hands one to two touches each set is needed to get him back to his old self.

No point pulling Roberts out. Long time project with that kid, we want him on the feild as much as we can get him, get him the experience, and playing next to GI will do the kid alot of good.

What souths did was get the ball to Gi early (2nd, 3rd, 4th tackle) and he did some damage...yes, it was against the sharks, but he can do it, so ya just gotta get him going and in a rhythm and he will be fine

roberts has done nothing wrong... seeing as he is 18 with 2 games experience, he shouldn't be dropped unless he does considerably WORSE then tulz and wesser were

The problem with Sutton is anywhere you put him he still can't tackle. In attack he is a lock, in defense he is always a couple of metres from where he needs to be.

The young backrowers showed against the sharks that we need more youth. Young blokes that can tackle as opposed to big impact players. Its a balance and we havent had it right until injuries have hit us yet again.

I know we don't normally use Norths contracted players in our FG but if we were looking for a backrower who can tackle then Deon Apps would be my next choice to the bench. When given the opportunity he played fairly well in the trials and he plays every week with a good amount of game time for Norths.
Seeing we are struggling with front rowers we could have Ross and Taylor to start and Pettybourne off the bench just until we get someone back. Corker, Turrel and Clarke in the back row. I would not change last weeks backs and have Pettybourne, Mcpherson, Peats and Apps on the bench.
