With all this speculation regarding Jamie Lyon, I was wondering about one thing:

HAS HE BEEN RELEASED??? CAN ANYONE CONFIRM OR DENY THIS, BECAUSE WITHOUT THIS, ALL OUR HOPES/PRAYERS/DREAMS MEAN NOTHING!!!

As far as I know, he will only be released once Parra (Fitzgerald) "approves" any new deal that Jamie or his representatives put back to Parra.

Parra has the final say, and would need to negotiate with any other club taking on Jamie how much of Jamie's existing 2005/6 contract that they will cover, and how much Parra would be left to fork out. This is what will add the time delay on any deal Jamie and the Tigers might reach between themselves.

Fitzgerald has been quoted as saying that he sees Wests Tigers as an acceptable destination for Jamie, as living outside Campbelltown qualifies as rural - which was a reason Jamie originally put forward in wanting his conditional release to Wee Waa.

Thats exactly right about Campbelltown. Fitzgerald also said he would accept Saints aswell as long as Lyon lives down in Woollongong, and also Penrith andCanberra. Good for all of us as Fitzy's conditions rule out Roosters, Souths,Eagles,Bulldogs and possibly Sharks.

Apparently Jamie is making a decision on his future and weather he'll return to league today, take note this doesnt mean he's announcing where he's playing just weather he's coming back to play.
