If Saints lost to Parra they would be last and Parra would be 13th. That itself is a scary stat because Parra apparently are the worst team in the comp....If so that makes Saints second. The Tigers with a horror injury toll are equal with Saints.

Remind me what the score was in the one again? How close were we to losing? Oh that's right the game was over 20 minutes in and your argument (strangely made after the fact) died with it.

Does anyone really believe we have a well coached side?
Possm, you are smarter than that.Noone has said that we are well coached, there are reasons which have been posted countless times suggesting why we are inconsistent.WE DON'T HAVE A HALFBACK who can steer us around the park and create scoring opportunities,or a strike centre pairing which can help our wingers.
The positives are that apart from the odd game where we started off poorly, the guys have been putting in .We are all aware of why we are struggling for points, but you my friend just want to throw darts at Price's head.

Yep. Said it a squillion times, will say it again....no halves of consequence, no centres, missing at least one (two would be better) big, mongrel props.

I question whether or not a 'mongrel' prop is essential...sure, it'd be nice, but next year guys like Stockwell will be that much bigger and better, deBelin (who has some mongrel in him) will be the same, we'll have Seru looking for a spot and Weyman will (hopefully) be back to his best...the main situation where we need a 'mongrel' prop is if Weyman does retire or move on.

Agreed but it would be nice.

I like the big mongrel ones but Benny. Kasiano, Mautalino, even 'Leaky' Packer, Burgessessesses.
Look at the top four sides, most have some bulk that can just cart it up and make metres.
I agree our future in that area looks to be more promising, but I want it NOW.

The 24 players still in our top squad do. Methinks they know better than any of us.

For arguments sake, possm.....let's say you got your way and Price was sacked now, and Sheens hired to takeover. Do you call for Sheens to be sacked as well if his record is 3 or 4 wins for the remaining 13 rounds?

I asked the same question several times. Expect some side stepping. He eventually answered in the affirmative.

I think most here calling for change do not understand the concept of rebuilding. The cap, the ageing squad, after having won the premiership in 2010....it was a well known fact that this had to happen. The rebuilding is looking pretty good to me and I am pretty confident we won't be waiting 30 odd years again to see our next premiership.

I am okay with missing the 8 this year, as long as the boys put in every week.....which they have been doing most weeks. When the young'uns start showing they will be ok to handle 1st grade, Price will give them the taste they need to ensure they will be all the better for a more permanent role next year. Probably cause more damage to these kids if he throws them in before he thinks they are ready for it.

Potter would definately do a better job. If Price had 12 injured I would hate to think how Saints would be playing.
Yar jury still out on Pottor, if you think our situation is bad.. theirs is a lot worse and Pottor hasnt had a career at the club (with 2 seasons as coach) to create some form of positive change in the club.

Then there is Penrith's revival.. that one I cant explain... pulled a gun halfback from nowhere and a young star of a fullback leaping into 1st grade too.. I expect really good things from them in coming years, with Gould on recruitment and Cleary the coach... though much of that may come back to Sowie.. will be interesting!

Price is brilliant at rebuilding. Fein at half is a good start and good for the future. Centres - Prior. Good for next season. Why not put Runciman or Vai Vai to give them some experience.

Chase Stanley is also future 5/8 material. Top choice. Why not put a young half like Drinkwater for a few games. Is Chase a future 5/8. Did anyone see that coming?

If he was rebuilding wouldn't you start by blooding more juniors for the future? Especially if you do not expect to make the 8 as he has previously stated.

This Re-Building is another top notch excuse for you Price lovers.

Agree Rev. Cleary is really impressing me and keen to see how Soward goes there. Was Cleary around the Roosters when Soward was there as a Junior?

So Slip your solution to rebuilding would be to have a partial combined Cutters/under 20's squad contesting the first grade comp now, yeah?
If you think the Price haters are in voice now they, including you, would be in hysterical over drive if that happened. He would, and should be sacked in such a scenario.

Can you provide a link to this quote by Price please. I have never seen or heard it uttered by him

He didn't say that. I think you will find that he said we are not looking at the eight, just concentrating on each game as it comes.
