Nothing like a little hyperbole to spice up the mix whilst you're frothing at the mouth.

Slip....rebuilding to me does not mean playing a backline of 7. Drinkwater 6. Quinlan 5. Nightingale 4. Vai Vai 3. Runciman 2. Morris 1. Dugan

People with more knowledge than you have said time and again, these kids are not ready for 1st grade.

The rebuilding I am referring to is the new signings for next year, and the chance to blood some youngsters when they are deemed ready.

What a bizarre post. If we kicked some goals against other teams we'd be in the top 8. If Cooper wasn't injured we wouldnt see Prior in the centres. If Nathan Fien was 10 years younger we'd have a top quality halfback. If my dad was Kerry Packer I'd buy the club and some sweet Ferraris. If I could have any superpower it would definitely be the power of flight. If if if iffffssfsf

I think you are missing the point. That being the Dragons are in a precarious position vying for the spoon while it would take a miraculous turnaround to see the Dragons make the semis. I think they are safe from the spoon even if supercoach:shock: isn't sacked before the end of the season because Parra are that bad but having said that I don't underestimate the incompetence of supercoach:shock:.

"If" the Canberra hadn't sacked and the Broncos rejected Dugan at the 11th hour is a very scary thought.

2.....no need for you to speak for me either, fiery.

Am I happy with what is happening at the Dragons now? Yes.....building nicely for 2014 onwards. 2013 was earlier tagged as a rebuilding year and that is exactly what is happening.

As for Steve Price's ability as a coach.....if the players say they are happy with him, and say he is a good coach, that is enough for me to be happy to stick with him for now. I reckon the players have a bit better idea about his abilities than any fan mouthing off in here. And also the fact that there is no one better available for the job if they were to sack him now. What if he was sacked now and say Sheens or Brian Smith took over the job, and then still only won 3 or 4 games of the remaining 13 rounds? Sack them too? Price was contracted to do a job, he is doing his job, and if results don't improve in 2014....he will not be Dragon's coach. Simple!

I see. I was thinking something similar this time last year. Judging by your statement I guess we could agree that supercoach:shock: was a hopelessly incompetent ***** last year but has gotten a lot better this year?

I don't speak for all supporters ,unlike you.Of course i would like us to be successfull, but i can see we tried to get the best coach in the game and in doing that recruitment was minimal,as you would expect Bellamy would have players in mind to sign. This fell through,so now the club has started a recruitment drive .It means we need to show some patience
You can rave and rant all you want, but your tirade towards the coach is getting boring, even if we win the next 10 in a row you will not be satisfied will you.

Fair enough but just because we missed out on arguably the best coach doesn't mean should have to tolerate the worst, does it?

Here we go again with that word "if". If the team that represented the club in our run of premierships years ago did not get old, maybe we would be in the eight.

Does anyone really believe we have a well coached side?

I asked pretty much the same question at least twice earlier in the life of this thread. "Fingerbanger" replied that he thinks things are building ok for next year but other than that no one replied with anything that could come close being considered affirmative.

You're not suggesting Pottor takes over?

Personally my first choice for interim coach for the remainder of this year would be B. Smith. Second would be Ivan Henjak. Those 2 stand out for me but after them are several I think would be far better than supercoach:shock: Price.

The 24 players still in our top squad do. Methinks they know better than any of us.

For arguments sake, possm.....let's say you got your way and Price was sacked now, and Sheens hired to takeover. Do you call for Sheens to be sacked as well if his record is 3 or 4 wins for the remaining 13 rounds?

If I was on a very high salary and doing very poorly and had I boss who never held me accountable, I would support him or her 100%.

Two wins from 8th place with two byes in hand = miraculous turnaround. Got it.

You're a thoughtful contributor

Can you provide a link to this quote by Price please. I have never seen or heard it uttered by him

Didn't he say they are not looking to make the 8 or don't expect to make the 8 or something to that end after the debacle against Penrith?

Apparently not with Price as coach...

He said after the Bulldogs match that they aren't looking at the eight at this stage and are taking it a game at a time. What this means depends on how you take it I guess...

Price is brilliant at rebuilding. Fein at half is a good start and good for the future. Centres - Prior. Good for next season. Why not put Runciman or Vai Vai to give them some experience.

Chase Stanley is also future 5/8 material. Top choice. Why not put a young half like Drinkwater for a few games. Is Chase a future 5/8. Did anyone see that coming?

If he was rebuilding wouldn't you start by blooding more juniors for the future? Especially if you do not expect to make the 8 as he has previously stated.

This Re-Building is another top notch excuse for you Price lovers.

This is what lost me. If they were rebuilding I could accept it but as you said. I would add that apart from Dugan, arguably the best players have been DeBelin, Stockwell and King. 3 guys the '$%#&! supercoach:shock: didn't seem good enough for first grade until this year or even more recently in the case of DeBelin. IMO with a proper coach these 3 guys would be pushing for SOO inclusion by now.

I know some people are prone to exaggeration, but really? You think that those three guys would be pushing for SOO, considering that Adam Reynolds was considered too inexperienced to be playing this year? And who's spot would they be pushing for?

Dont get me wrong, I love those three as much as the next Red V fan, but none of them would be expected to crack the SOO team even with a decent coach.

As I have stated a number of times, thank god for Parra and the injury ravaged Tigers (the latter of which I expect to end up in front of the Dragons if supercoach:shock: isn't sacked soon.) though I'm nervous about next year because we can all see the current rate of decline.
