To be fair to people like me, who have had similar threads/polls locked and hacked to not be a poll... this is all old ground and this POLL should go the same way as the ones you locked and hacked, Frenzy ;-)

Tama's has also pointed out, in his announcemnet, that old ground won't be covered or accepted here any more...

I dont think Frenzy locked or "hacked" any polls Aries.

Furthermore you'll note the date of this poll, July 28. I think it pre-dates all the annoying polls that have popped up over the past month by just a bit!

Would you like a copy of the pm he sent me, after I abused the crap out of him for doing it? Or just go back to the last poll I started and read what frenzy said and the content of the poll I put up, just befor ehe locked it! ;-)

If this poll isn't locked or hacked to not be a POLL, there are double standards around here SS... The "date" is all the more reason to lock it!!

EDIT: btw, did you forget the fact the thread is by a Stains supporter?

Lets just allow the moderators to moderate and us lowly serfs to carry on the conversation.

I agree there are double standards around here Aries, mainly because they come down hard on polls but usually allow the trolls to go crazy.

Bit of a shame because I think on the whole, millers frenz and particularly tamazoid (who basically pioneered this whole place) do a good job.

I agree with mn and tama... frenzy however is debatable... I discussed the un-POLLING of my post with tama, the other night. He said he didn't do it, and was the only "visible" mod on here... After the Poll was hacked, I asked him to remove it. I put it up again, as he had no problem with it...

Low and behold, it was locked this time, then Frenzy had his say about it and why he locked it :?

The same reasons he stated, apply here SS ;-)

i can understand what you are saying aries

although i am not speaking for the other mods here i will offer this

there were a lot of similair threads and polls last week yours was one of them

in the interests of clarity we locked some of them so topics wouldnt be duplicated any further

please dont take personal offence locking threads is not something i would do lightly and the originator is bound to be a bit put out

i always post an explanation why i have done it and as i dont know the specific thread you are talking about i cant help

i take this opportunity also to invite public criticism of moderating style as from my point of view everyone is entitled to know why these things happen

this forum is owned by people who will not condone over moderating and thus far we are abiding by this

i can personally assure you all complaints of this nature are taken seriously by admin here

please respond if you want as i take this forum seriously and in particulair enjoy your posts and input and do not want to jeapordise anyones confidence in the integrity of this site

a deserved explanation why this topic isnt locked

the rules we abide by is that we cant lock or delete old topics

this poll is months old and has only recently been resurected

its subject matter was relevant at the date of original post

the difference of course is sometimes last week we had the same post arising within hours of each other and in the interests of clarity we tried to keep from duplications of topics

it is a grey area but the rules are clear for us

As to closing it when I did see it that is what we are here for. The exact same poll was already running when you put yours up, not the first time you've duplicated someone elses poll either.

Get over it - I didn't delete anything of yours but yes I did close the unecessary poll.

Answer: So, you did... That is a "Hack" mate. You broke into my post and changed it!!

The POll you mention only got a run again after I posted mine, you locked it and then pointed out the address to that post... No-one was posting on it and I didn't even see it after not being here for three days and god knows how far down the page it was, or if it was even on the front page at all at the time. It was also missing the "pe-ramble" I put up...

Anyway, the point here is that you DID HACK my post, a post that tama had no problem with, but you seemed to. YOU also LOCKED the second try at it! You were a "hidden" mod also at the time... I suggest you show your face Frenzy, all the time

I like millersnose's style. Personally I think that a general policy of leniency is the way to go, and if something needs to be locked or deleted, an explanation offered.

BTW this the original thread, started the day the thread topic surfaced, why were you all not repling in this one in the first place?
Need 50 polls on the same thing? Or should I come back weeks later and find 6 different polls?

For the umpteenth time NO. I saw one thread with one poll which was a duplicate of a poll already running. I replied that I was locking it and why and that's the extent of my input. It is what we as mods are expected to do.

The Original poll entitled, "What do we do with the Board??", was posted by Fizman at 12:03 pm on October 11th and can be seen

The question asked was "Regardless of the outcome of Andogate, the board should be"

a) Retained
b) Given the arse

Your Poll "Sack the board?", found here was started 3 days after the original

The question asked "If you could vote, would you sack members of the board?"

a) Yes
b) No

Wanna tell me how that is different to the original poll and why it was necessary to leave it? In fact if you weren't so full of your own importance you would of checked first to see if there was anything similar already running, especially as the matter of the board has been a topic of discussion for weeks now.
