I agree. But the judiciary just wanted to make an example of Bird. What he did was bad, but there was no real power in the knee. He should of gotten 8 weeks in my opinion. Williams should get 26 rounds, but I don't think he will.

The judiciary is a joke. If Morley or Wiki put that hit on they would get 25-30 weeks. Its ridiculous past record is taken into consideration. I heard Williams has one, but not too bad. Every incident should be judged on its merit IMO. Just a disgraceful incident. Everytime league seems to be making its way out of the cellar another idiot brings the game back down.

I'm so angry. Williams couldn't have done it to anyone more undeserving. As of 10pm O'neil was unconcious and on oxygen according to Tim Sheens. I'm assuming/hoping this is induced. Sheens said he thinks there will be a broken cheekbone to add into the mix. I'll be surprised if Williams is even allowed to play again.

Yeah he's always been know as a bit of a Wildman even before his Norths days (although he was born on the North Shore of Sydney his junior club was Woy Woy I think?) he made his debut for Norths against Manly I believe t-ba we won 20-6 or something like that. Bring back Memories?

But this is something different even for him (or anyone else for that matter).

There goes any chance of him playing for the Bears on The Central Coast by the sounds of it.

I would not be surprised one bit if he was to be banned from playing in the NRL. His king-hit on Mark O'Neill was uncalled for. It would take me awhile to get over something like that. I've seen John Hopoate do low things throughout his career but does this compare to what Danny Williams did tonight? IMO I don't think so. I may think Melbourne play dirty at times but they are a good side no doubt. They don't deserve scum players like him. Hopefully that is the last we see him play for Melbourne or the NRL.
