Just as I thought, faces win all the big matches. Sounds like a borefest!

Angle vs. HBK was a classic apparantly.

Mysterio/Guerrero was a good opener too.

Ladder Match was great.

Taker vs. Orton was Solid.

Cena vs. JBL was below average, same goes for the Womans match and the Sumo Match.

Main Event was solid as well.

Hogan, Austin/Piper segments were all pretty good too apparantly.

This Wrestlemainia was the best in years! However, my predictions were shocking to say the least!

Here are the winners:

1. Rey Mysterio def Eddie Guerrero via pinfall (uses the hurricarrano)
2. Edge winns the money in the bank match (i hate this so much, Christian deserves a run!)
3. Cena def JBL (FU)
4. Batista def HHH (Batista bomb, pretty ordinary title matches really)
5. Undertaker def Orton (via tombstone after Orton signalled for the Tombstone on Taker!)
6. Angle def Michaels (best match of the night, via submission)
7. Akebono def Big Show (threw him out of the ring, hillarious match!)
8. Trish def Christy (thank goodness for that!)

And Stone Cold Steve Austin stunns both Piper and CCC!

Overall I'll give the PPV 8.5/10 (The 2 title matches hurt that rating, as they both were hopeless!)

Agree. The main events were boring, one can only hope that both champions can improve on their wrestling ability. The sumo match I had no problem with because it allowed me to have a laugh! The Women's Title was a joke! It should have been Trish vs. Victoria! :evil:

A few observations of mine from the show:

I swear (And Manuwera_Marlins reckons too) that Roddy Piper said WWF in pipers pit.

I could tell Trish was going tow in right at the last minute becuase the Referee stopped counting during christy's pin on trish while thrish's shoulders were still on the mat, I think this was due to christy not jumping up quick enough.

Sorry Raider-69, but stunner or no stunner, Pipers Pit showed that the hot Rod always was and always will be the Man. The roof would have lifted off if cowboy bob Orton would have clocked Austin from behind the curtain with the cast. (though i guess the run in on the undertaker was good enough).

Hogan, Piper, Orton (bob) and to a lesser extent Stone cold and King Bundy and the midgets :lol: definitely stole the show. It would have been one of the best wrestlemania's ever if it wasnt for the pitiful two title matches, especially the JBL Cena matches.

The sooner Carlito pins Cena and Orton pins Batista, the better.

My thoughts,

Eddie vs Rey= great match, these 2 know each other real well..only problem would be the attempted surfboard that eddie did..lol, id give it a 7/10

Ladde mtach= i honestly thought christian would win..i mean it made perfect sense and when tomko tried to help him up i thought it was over..lol..too bad edge had to win, also every wrestler in this match was outstanding..9/10

Angle vs HBK= best match of the night, smackdown has angle and the man isnt champ is a disgrace..his clearly the best wrestler available on both brands..great mic/promo skills also. how great was that SCM from up close..best match in over a year.. 10/10

Austin/Piper/Carlito= well im so glad CCC came out..both austin and rowdy will go down as greats but this was getting boring...watching this kinda indicated that the wwe have huge plans for CCC, i just hope in the future we can actually see him dominate.it had its moments but they just wouldnt stop drinking lol.7/10

Christy vs Trish= both looked great but it was a wrestling match, a blind man could tell this match was dull.. had a certain part fallen out im sure it would of made for better veiwing.6/10

Cena vs JBL= im so pissed that the wwe went the way of the younger fans...Cena cant wrestle for crap and his gimmick is rather lame..JBL offered alot more in terms of abilty in ring and perhaps on the mic..this could spell the end of JBL and the tittle picture for good. 6/10

Orton vs Taker= Well i wasnt expecting much, although Orton continued to shine in his heel charracter, that reversal he pulled out of the choke slam was pure gold..taker was never going to lose and feel perhaps they should of just had someone else fight taker..i mean the legend killer name could be destroyed..7/10

Akebono vs bigshow= wasnt boring like i expected it to be..maybe cause of the idea that it was not going to be scripted...took forever to start though.7/10

Batista vs HHH= good match here, and everyone knew what the outcome was going to be..this was a very predicatable match but it deliverd in terms of fan response. 8/10

Also Rowdy did say WWF, lol..i wont be suprised if he ment it lol.

I just got through watching the replay with a bunch of mates. Here are my thoughts.

Rey Mysterio vs. Eddie Guerrero
Was shocked and pleased to see Rey continue his 'streak' and win this one. Wasn't a classic match, but had some really good moments.
Mark: 7.5 out of 10

Six Man Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Having Edge win it was both predictable and a bit of a let down. I'd much rather have seen Christian win it through Tomko's assistance (loved that bit) or Jericho win it for a heel turn. He's really wasted as a face at the moment. Benjamin was outstanding, but everyone was at their best.
Mark: 9 out of 10

Randy Orton vs. The Undertaker
Disappointed to see Undertaker's streak continue in the face of his flagging ability to wrestle. Orton's 'Legend Killer' gimmick took a bit of a bashing by losing this match despite the interference of his father, and an amazing reversal into an RKO. Was otherwise a top notch clash.
Mark: 7.5 out of 10

Christie Hemme vs. Trish Stratus
No surprises here, and a complete dud in terms of quality. The finish was shithouse.
Mark: 1 out of 10

Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels
An absolute classic. Not only did it have some brilliant individual moments (Angle Slam into the post, sweet chin music, moonsault...) but it also had great psychology. I could have sworn I heard booing for Michaels.
Mark: 10 out of 10

Big Show vs. Akebono
Meh, I know they had to fit Big Show in somewhere, but why the hell did this need to happen. Funny, in its way, but a waste of time.
Mark: 5 out of 10

John Cena vs. JBL
I'm not a Cena fan, but I'm also not a hater of the guy. His gimmick is no worse than Stone Cold's has been in certain points in his career. He's a rebel, who is appealing to a young demographic. It's a business, people. Dud of a match, that said.
Mark: 6 out of 10

Triple H vs. Batista
Good match, and the result that really had to happen. Triple H has had the belt for too long, and I'm looking forward to seeing Edge challenge the animal for a title shot in the future.
Mark: 7.5 out of 10

Eugene/Hogan/Hassan angle
Loved this! I've never been a major fan of Hogan, but even I felt a buzz when I heard that familiar music play and the leg drop got hit. Is Hogan back for a while? Or was it a one off? Would be great to see him and Hassan duke it out again.
Mark: 8 out of 10

Carlito/Stone Cold/Roddy Piper angle
Enjoyed this as well, although Piper did wander off script from time to time (interrupting Carlito a lot, but without any dramatic reason). Was good to see three genuinely charismatic people in the ring. I thought Piper was hilarious.
Mark: 7.5 out of 10

Some Thoughts....
Edge should make a good opponent for Batista in the long run
Kurt Angle deserves a run at the top again. He's wasted on Smackdown atm
Eddie to turn heel in the near future. He didn't look happy at his loss
Christie Hemme is amazing looking, but can't wrestle
Big Show needs a feud. No more gimmick matches
Christian is being wasted
JBL's character isn't as interesting without a title. Will be interesting to see how he develops
Cruiserweight, tag, and IC/US straps need feuds around them

That WrestleMania was predictable and rubbish. If I was in the arena the only men I would have stood to clap for (aside from the legends) were Benoit for his absolute f**king heroic effort with a f**ked up shoulder in that ladder match, and Angle and HBK for their match. The rest was predictable tripe really.
