The Nets have won game 2 by a close score. Now they are in pretty good shape as they go home for games 3, 4, and 5 in the NBa's finals format.

Since they went to this format in 1985, the home team has never won all of the middle 3 games. The 1990 Detroit Pistons did win all of games 3, 4, and 5 as the visiting team, though, when they beat Portlad in 5 games.

The format used to be 2-2-1-1-1, which it still is in every other series. But in the east vs. west finals, they changed it to cut down on travel costs.

I've wanted an Eastern team to win it ever since the Lakers (whom I have a very very personal disliking for might I add) won the title four years back.

But because my brother goes for New Jersey Im'a have to hope that San Antonio win :twisted: Hehe until my team wins anyways

The Spurs won last night, and now have a good grip on the title, as they go home for games 6 and 7 (if necessary) needing 1 win to take it all.

The Spurs have won the title, overcoming a 12 point deficit in the 4th period. Duncan was named MVP of the series. David Robinson goes out a champion.

Now the NBA off-season heats up, as the draft is in 2 weeks, free agents will sign over the next month or so, and a few coaching vacancies still have to be filled. Jason Kidd is the most prominent free agent available, he may return to the Nets, though there is talk of him going to the Spurs.
