Why no mention of this from the kiwi contingent? Captain Courageous Stephen Fleming has picked up where he left off with his World Cup form and scored a massive 274 not out. The Kiwis scored 515/7 declared in the first innings andcoming into day four the Sri Lankans are precariously poised at 267/4. The Sri Lankan bastmen as a whole have looked better than their kiwi counterparts, with four of their top five bats producing fifties and the fifth dismissed unluckily for a duck but Fleming's great innings has put the kiwis in a commanding position. Day four will likely decide whether this willend a drawn match or a kiwi win. If the Lankans are to survive the two bastmen still in have to convert their half-centuries into centuries, if they don't the black caps willhave the scent of blood and have a chance to snatcha win.
