Go to the St George Leagues Facebook page...this is very good example of how mismanaged and detached the Football and Leagues Clubs are.
You need to scroll down to about June to find any reference of a Dragons game! Plenty of posts on keno, gambling promo, and steaks...

The comments section about customers experience is a real mixed back with most ppl not happy.

Where is the game day experience to encourage Red V members to attend? Where are special deals to get crowds in to watch Dragons away games on TV?

Surely by riding on the Dragons / St George brands they should make some attempt to link the Leagues Club ?

I know over the years there's been many vocal fans dissapointed about the state of the leagues club, and its inability to generate revenue since the pokie tax came in.
It's a real shame to see what was the "taj mahal" of leagues clubs now stand as a glorified RSL club.

Somebody told me that they were the other day and they had to wipe the tears off Sticks portrait.

I have not had the opportunity of seeing what it looks like now , however after hearing from others over the years , perhaps it is a good thing . A Sizzler out the front , how cheap and nasty , how the great have fallen .

Last occasion I was there was back in the mid- eighties , after watching Saints beat Balmain . The Tigers had a player running around who knew how to tackle , a fella by the name Michael Maketo . That name rings a bell ?

The last time I went there in the late 90's I thought I was in Hong Kong. They must use the same outdated decor from Len Hongs Chinese at sylvania.......which hasn't changed in some 30 years!!!! My old boss use to tell me that you must spend money to make money......no wonder the old Taj is struggling.

The way that you have described Mr Hongs fine dining establishment at Sylvania , has given me a fairly good idea of what the Club must look like nowadays - rather ' gaudy '.
