Been some great coverage of NRL during this week in WA. For anyone that says that WA arent interested in covering RL you need to see what a difference actually having the sport here makes. Until we get a club we will never see NRL interest grow and the media take the game seriously. Bring on Sunday!
(and then we will wait another 12 months until NRL returns for a game, maybe sigh)

Well we can call it a wrap and celebrate the great success that was the first ever Origin in WA. Stadium attendance record, 15000 interstate visitors boosting the WA economy, amazing event experience that has the AFL people here gazing enviously at what a spectacle it was, local RL fans getting to enjoy the Australian pinnacle of the sport, everyone at the game having a great time. Only thing that wasnt great which we couldnt control was the weather!

Not sure it really makes any difference to the NRLs expansion plans as we have shown for last 5 years we have the fanbase for a team but cant of hurt that the city and WA Govt did such a great job in hosting this special occasion.

Congrats NRL, WA and the fans. Job well done.

State of origin in Perth is a great concept. Hope they bring it there again every few years like they do with Melbourne in the future.
