NRL fans have been given an opportunity to have their say on the 2018 Telstra Premiership with the State of the Game survey.

The online survey gives fans the opportunity to rate what they watched over the past season and recommend improvements for 2019 and beyond.

From the role – and effectiveness – of the NRL Bunker, to the crackdown on offside penalties and slowing down the ruck, the season featured a handful of different interpretations of rules.

In less than five minutes, you can rate which areas need most attention leading into the 2019 season.

Who knows if the NRL would take the results of this thing seriously, or if it's just lip service, but if you wanna have a say about the game in any way at all, it only takes a few minutes.

It's a saying we have when the bosses try to tell us TJF - The Job's Fine or The Job's Fantastic, much like the NRL each year.

One question in the survey is dumb, it asks you to mark which (if any areas) need addressing but you can't not select any of them as your answer as it did not provide a "none" or "other" option. Hence gonna get some false readings on that question.

Yep.

11. asks about should a shot clock be introduced and offers four options - and won't let you proceed without choosing at least one.

I chose one but can see that some might not want to. Faulty question.

Good survey. Hopefully they do something about the dead time in a game. Wouldn't mind the clock being stopped whenever the ball is out of play and then a maximum 30 second shot clock to get play restarted again

Id run a trial match with:
no scrums, quick taps for turn overs or kicking into touch
no kicks for penalties, just quick taps with ref indicating six again rather than stopping play
quick restarts, no waiting around for the refs
2 men only in the tackle

see how the game flowed

I gave the wrestle ,the choke hold. It's a blight on the game.
Wrestling coaches should be flicked.
