Guys Ive posted this thread (copy below) on the NRL page but I need your help.

I know that Sterlo and Kenny have been honoured with the naming of a part of Parra stadium named after them. I need confirmation of what it is.

Is it a Bar, a hill, or a concourse. Look forward to hearing back from you.

I know already of the Cronin and Thornett stands.

below the line is my full post.

_______________________________________________________

Do you know of any RL Legends having a statue?
Are some of the Grandstands at your clubs ground named after legends?
Parks, Roads, or anything honouring an old league Player..

Please let me know........

I know that the King has his statue at Lang Park, and there is a statue honouring the french league great Puig Aubert, at the Carcassone ground.

We have the Clive Churchill Stand at the SCG. I know there are heaps more around Australia and the UK..

Parramatta have a few named after past players.. (what are they)

I am also interested in hearing about "bush" ground stands etc named in honour of the greats.

The following have been included in the Sydney Cricket Ground Walk of Honour.
Arthur Beetson - OAM,
Dave Brown,
Clive Churchill - AM,
Ron Coote,
Bob Fulton - AM,
Reg Gasnier - AM,
Keith Holman - MBE,
Graeme Langlands - MBE,
Bob McCarthy - MBE,
Johnny Raper - MBE,
Ken Thornett,
Dick Thornett,

I read in one of the UK forums that there is a statue of Brian Bevan at Warrington.
and one of Willie Horne in Craven Park. (more info sought)

I read also they have the Clive Sullivan Way in Hull.

Can anyone help me as I'd like to compile a list and use some of the information in my website...

You can post your answer / reply in here or if you like you can email me, or email me from my website.... which ever suites you .

Thanks and Cheers
Quigs.

Sterlo and Brett Kenny have hills named after them at Parramatta (though the hills now have seats.)

Michael Cronin Stand is the eastern stand, Ken Thornett Stand is the Western stand. Can't remember if the Terraces have names?

Someone else will have to help you confirm the bars and food outlets, but I recall one being the Bob O'Reilly Bar, and another being the Ray Price Bar. (I think There's a Betty Cuthbert something, and maybe a Ritchie Benaud something else?)

And the media area was named after Peter Frilingos earlier in the year.

Cheers,

OUtside Mick Cronin's pub in Gerringon there are a set of goalosts that used to adorn the local ground in the 70'. They were donated to The Crow. And the ground is named Mick Cronin Oval.

A quicjk whip around from memory of old grandstands on other clubs: The Duncan Thompson stand at NSO, Latchem Robinson Stand at Leichhardt: The Ken Arthurson Stand at Brookie, The King George V stand at Henson (dunno who he played for though)...
