Just on that link, it says Mick Russo is headed back to Storm. Has anyone else heard this as its the first I've heard? I thought he signed on for 2 years at the Sharks.

Russo's dad confirmed to a Cronulla Fan that Mick was leaving the sharkies and heading south. He certainly has got zero playing time with Cronulla .

If he's moving back here, I don't mind. He wasn't selected as junior kangaroo captain for nothing. I just hope he can pick up his game. He was alright in 1st grade but nothing amazing like Cameron Smith. Didn't he leave before Bellamy came?

Mick was with Storm last season but was out for most of it with an injury (knee i think) He really didn't have much time to prove himself again to get another contract. I beleive he was made an offer from Storm but it was crappy so he went to the Sharks, the aim probably to work under Anderson and we all know what happened with him.

I was told last night that Mick is headed to Melbourne but possibly not to play with Storm unless his aim is to trial in the pre-season to maybe gain a contract. In other words he is coming down with no contract as yet, thats the word anyway.

Back on Turner, it was posted some 3 weeks ago that he wasn't happy due to not getting game time and was not sticking around. It WAS confirmed by another Turner after a game and that he was 'shopping around'.

I'm not surprised he's not happy, he deserves to be pissed after being passed over for slater. The club's in a lose-lose position over this one unless we lose McDougall as that will mean Slater can move back to center and have Turner as our fullback.

We need to keep Steve Turner. I was impressed by his performances for Storm this season and has fantastic ability for a small guy.

Russo back to Storm...he would be lucky to get a game but might be a good replacement for Howe.

We cant lose steve he is such a great player! think about his performance against Penrith when billy was on Origin duties. A hat trick of tries!!!! ben macdougal is good but id say steve is better.

Well the Tigers where apperantly told about 2-3 weeks ago that he won't be granted a release from the club - it dosn't really bother me because we have Greally at the club but bloody hell this kid can play, watched him at the Panthers and always said that he will be a rep player the biggest problem is he always has a bloody inform fullback in front of him!

The negotiation rights he had which he used several weeks ago when he went shopping for a club for next season (despite under contract until end of 2006) was retracted by the storm around week 26 this season, i think it was shortly before.
