So who's it going to be? Who do you want it to be? Based on the last 2 weeks mine is coming out of left field.

Must not be Hutch - he is not a starter we have learnt this by now you would think.

I'd think about throwing Ciraldo in there. He'd handle the tackles just gotta get a few hit ups from him. If Williams is fit he should be the 8 if not then I'd throw in Cliffy.

do you think this was addressed in the thread team to play souths Captain?

No it wasn't Uncle. You don't even know what it is yet

Everyone went for the obvious and standard. I didn't post a team in there.

Luke Douglas????

Nope

Our biggest metre maker and hitup man is Gallen. He's best when he is lock and taking the ball one off the ruck. In the last 2 weeks as a second rower he has been ineffective. Ball doesn't get to him. Metres and hitups both way down. So too are his offloads. by default. His ball security is markedly better these days BTW.

He's bigger than Nutley who we use as a prop and I'm sure he hurts more in the collisions.

So that's who I'd use. Nuts back to second row.

Start with Hutch and Gallen. This way Looloo can come on for Hutch and we avoid having them both on together just before halftime. Drop Sully. Dykes to bench in that role. Kingston to play 80 as either hooker or lock, Dykes could even play lock at a pinch.

Both Dykes and Kinga are better plugs than Sully and we don't lose too much in the way of creativity.

Get one of the young guys back ASAP. Gallow, Ciraldo or Williams and get them running wider. Harder. Faster.

Now pick it to pieces

I don't think Sully is half the player he was, in fact I'm sure he has been worked out as a go yourself player.
I'de love to see Ciraldo at lock, he offers much more than Hilder.
Agree, Hutch & Loo Loo can't be on at the same time...and I don't think Hutch is a starting prop, more of an impact player.
The Souths game isn't a must win, we can try something different before the semi's.

I should also of clarified that if David Thompson was available I'd be using him as well. 150 odd first grade games experience would be handy right now.

I probably should of also said that I reckon Stevo will move mountains to get on the field anyway. He'll have so many needles if ned be he'll resemble Sonic the Hedgehog.

Not a bad idea CJS

But I don't see what's wrong with starting Stosic or Manua.

Stosic - has 1 foot long legs and next to NO mobility.

Manua - Bench spot for sure. Not a starter in a semi at this stage. And despite one more game to go that's what we are really looking at I think.

Gallen and Hutch is a strange one tbh. Gallen will work all day and Hutch won't. Nutley in the 2nd row won't change his game - he spent a fair part of 2003 as a 2nd rower. It may work, but I think we need size. Souths strength is their pack. We didn't give that any respect last time(Gallen at hooker) and look what went down.

We need size and go forward - without Stevens we don't have that and it cannot be replaced. We have to many workers and not enough metre eaters. If only we had signed Ben Ross a few years back! He and Stevo could set a great roll on.

One more year Stevo!

could what?

answer another loaded question from you??

your kidding

What was loaded about it? He posted a forward pack as an idea, you chose to merely ridicule it and when asked to provide a viable alternative you post rubbish.

You are an oasis of opinion and a desert of fact.
