NRL: Stewart and Williams back for Sea Eagles
RUGBY LEAGUE
2 MAY 11 @ 05:08PM BY JASON AVEDISSIAN RUGBY LEAGUE

MANLY’S injury depleted squad is set to get a timely boost with backs Brett Stewart and David Williams to be named in the Sea Eagles squad on Tuesday.
The Sea Eagles returned to Sydney on Sunday with forwards Anthony Watmough (ankle/shoulder) and Jason King (ribs) both carrying injuries.
Each are in doubt for Monday night’s match against the Raiders at Brookvale Oval, with King almost certainly out.
Five-eighth Kieran Foran also suffered a corked thigh in Manly’s 22-20 loss to the Cowboys in Townsville on Saturday night, but is likely to play for the Kiwis in Friday night’s clash against Australia on the Gold Coast.
Foran was one of three Sea Eagles selected in representative teams, with Glenn Stewart to captain Country and Manly Cove junior William Hopoate in the City team.
Watmough and King were both not considered after picking up injuries, while centre Jamie Lyon has provided the NSW Rugby League with a written request to be exempt from representative football.
Brett Stewart said he is nearing full fitness, having missed the past month with a recurring hamstring injury.
“It’s feeling better than it has for weeks and at this stage, I think I will play,” he said.
“I have another week of treatment and training ... fingers crossed.”
Both Williams and Watmough are also likely to play.
“I’m ready to go,” Williams said.
Young Hopoate will also be ready to make his senior representative debut for City in Albury on Friday night. The sought-after 18-year-old has up to six clubs chasing him, with a two-year religious mission also an option.
“It’s quite a big decision,” Hopoate said. “I’m just weighing up all my options and see what happens.
“I’m not ruling anything out.”
The son of former Test winger John Hopoate was sleeping at home when he got the call into the City team.
“I never thought I’d be here,” young Hopoate said.
“My main goal was just to try and crack first grade.”

Funny to think, it's quite possible that Hopoate could go from playing a "rep" game on Friday night to not being in first grade on Monday night.

Yeah sorry wolfman, but they'll have hopa on the Wing for sure. Imagine our attack then. On the edges excellent and up the middle with Brett from Cherry-Evans.
