Still a Chance

If the Tigers go down by more than 44, Raiders by more than 15, Cowboys lose and the Sharks win by no more than 6 then Parramatta are in the Top Eight.

I appreciate that we should not be relying on other teams to go bad and that our destiny should be in our own hands but the point is there is still hope.

This could be the loss we had to have, and if some how we don't lose our spot on the table or go backwards then the cost may be worth the benefit.

So we have lost 4 in a row, obviously something internal is going on and this defeat may be the catalyst for real change. By real change I mean change in attitude not a change in coaching staff.

Imagine the feeling of being booed off the field, a real wake up call.

Maybe just maybe there are positives to take out of this game.

We don't deserve to be in the top 8. Being in the top 8 at the end of the week is no compensation for last night's drivel.

Being in the Top 8 means you have to play sides like Easts and Canterbury come finals time....I can't bear to think about what would happen!!!!!!!!!!

Geez, round 11, and we are relying on for and against to stay in the 8!

Hey, but we are only about 4 wins off first....

Finals and premierships are so over rated anyway. The wooden spoon is where it's at! Remember the pain of '98 and '99, really want to go through that again?
If Souths can beat the warriors, we only need Souths to win one more game and we move ahead of them. We play the warriors twice so a couple of hefty losses there and the Wooden spoon will be ours!
Unfortunately we don't play souths again so our destiny isn't entirely in our hands but anything is possible!

And we dropped that one game against Souths, too! A loss there could have really picked up our chances of the spoon.

Don't forget that choke against Manly. We were in a definite losing position yet somehow we struggled to hold on to that deficit. We should have lost against Newcastle too but Dykes made one of his rare mistakes in setting up a try, shame on him.
