I was flicking through the 99 annual report looking for something and was pleasantly surprised by all of the names I recognised. With all the changes in personel over the intervening years in great to see a solid core of players who have stuck with (or left before returning to) the Magpies throughout these trying times.

For instance:
Ray Cashmere played First Grade, First Div and Flegg in 99
Ken McGuinness has returned home
Drew Dalton, Luke Duffy, Ian Harpley, and Chris Paterson played Flegg in 99
Brad Eisenhuth was captain of the Matthews squad (BTW reports on Brad's leaving may have been premature)
Ryan Borg, Matt Brinkworth, Anthony Dalton, Isaac DeGois, Aaron Longmore, Jamie Szczerbanik and Nathan Waters were in the Under 15's development squad
and John Ione, Shannon Gallant, Josh Tonga, and Brendan Waters were in the U13's.

It's been great to see these young guys continue with the Magpies and to watch them develop as players.

Mate its great to see players stay and develope through the ranks, and when the Wests Tigers do eventually become a force then that list will become alot bigger ;-)

True that Mafia, the Magpies biggest problem is trying to hold on to them! If Wests can do that, you're looking at the new Penrith! ;-)
