Speaking to a person I know in Kolkata (Calcutta) via MSN, and he said that they showed all the Storm games on TV. Presumebly on cable.

Well if if this true, the clubs popularity is spreading!

You said showed. past tense. IIRC, Storm had a presence throughout Asia from Star Sports as they showed every Storm game in seasons 2001 and 2002, maybe in 2000 as well. That ended in 2003 as they only showed 1 random NRL game a week but ABC Asia Pacific came to the rescue and showed 2 more NRL games a week every weekend.

Craig, could you ask that friend of yours next time you two chat if he was talking about Star Sports coverage? As far as I know, the contract ended before 2003 and I've asked StarTV and the Storm whether they were gona have the coverage again for 2003 and beyon. Didn't get any replies.

I asked Hoggy when he interned for the club about it and he couldn't tell me much.
