Stringer and Morrison

Now that the NRL has knocked back the Central Coast for 2006, should Parramatta resign them when theyre both off contract, or depending on how they are playing at Parramatta. I have a feeling they will both finish their careers at Parramatta which is good. :) They were originally going to sign with CC, but who knows when they'll be in the NRL.

Stringer signed a 2 year deal while Morrison has a 3rd year option. Neither of them were going to be able to join the CC in 06 anyway.

Yes but I mean after theyre contract finished, they wouldve signed with the CC for 2007. But now its no certain there is a CC team in 2007 onwards they'll probably or hopefully stay with the club long term.

See how they play first before signing them for life. Imagine if we'd signed Dykes for life when he came in 2002 :? They'd have to perform for the eels first before earning another contract.

And that's no easy task!!!!

Given that they are both 28, I'm quite happy to keep them on their current contracts. No need to rush into anything more at this stage, they'll both be around for 2 years minimum.

Actually,

Paul Stringer had a get out clause after 1 year should the CC Bears have gotten in so in theory he could have joined them.

It' wouldn't suprise me to see Stringer retire after these two years unless the CC get in in 2007.

Morrison pending fitness I'd like to see him hang around he'll problably play in till 32 so could get 4 years out of him.

I'd like to think that guys like Tsoulos, Afamasamaga and Mateo will force these guys out of the club.

At the end of their contracts they will most likely retire. The game is to fast these days.

yeh, I don't think tsoulos has much hope, But Afamasaga and Mateo might.
Tsoulos has no hope???? He breaks the advantage line like no other forward in our team (except hindy) He will be one of the best props in the game, give him a couple of years you will see. He is a tank!

Tsoulos at his best (and glimpes were shown v Sharks) is a very good player but it hasn't been that consitant this year.

For how big he is, You would expect him to bulldoze over everyone.

Look he has played the entire year with a shoulder injury. That is how desperate we r. He has paleyd well when he he uninjured. Look out for him in the future.

Tsoulos when fit can be good and was good against the Sharks, but has been ineffective too many times this year

if fit and uninjured and a few kilos lighter he "could" be anything in the future

You guys act like the guy has already hit his best football. He is a player that has under 20 games in the top grade. I doubt that Webcke or Price were as good as they are now at the same level of experiance as Tsoulos. You gotta stick with these guys and in a year or 2 you will reap the rewards, like the Bulldogs with Tonga and the Roosters with Cayless.
