Interesting idea....

I'm not sure how they are pull this one off... Joker and Lex Luther saving mankind??

Jared Leto as the Joker... It's interesting to see how he tackles the role... Heath Ledger will cast a massive shadow over that character.... Kinda like Sean Connery with James Bond.

It's not as if it's a spontaneous concept, it's been done in the comic books.

I think Leto will make a great Joker, he's a great actor and he seems like a crazy f**ker.

Though I can't see him topping or equaling Heath Ledger, this movie doesn't have the same aura as TDK.

Yeah I know it was a comic book series... It costs you what?? 500K to produce a comic book series... And comic book readers are used to seeing the universe change depending on how the comic is being written.

But we're talking about transferring it to a full scale blockbuster film... Hundreds of millions of dollars are being pumped in to this project... And on top of that you have hundreds of millions more being pumped in to other DC comic movies that use these same characters.

Moviegoers aren't like comic fans in that they aren't used to seeing each film as its own thing... A comic fan will swallow the story in a comic easier as they are used to the concept of a comic series being in its own universe. A moviegoer seems to always be looking for continuity between movies if the characters are the same.

I'm not saying it can't work... I think it will be awesome... I'm just intrigued how they work the story... Considering they have Batman vs Superman coming up also...

I definitely understand what you're saying but I think the idea of reboots and what not is more accepted and understood nowadays.

Is this in the same universe as the upcoming DC films? I hope it is, continuity will make it easier for everyone to understand.

Yeah that's what intrigues me about it... They would almost need to flip batman vs superman completely... or maybe that movie will go in a real dark direction.

The recent animated film 'Batman: Assault on Arkham Asylum' was a Suicide Squad movie. I thought it was done very well.
Obviously the live action one will be different. I wonder if Batman will show up at all.
How will the Joker be used? Is he actually a part of the Squad, or is he a background character like in the animated version? Is he the one the Squad are going after?

Lex is most likely running things behind the scenes.

They have pulled together a very good cast for this. When I heard those names mentioned weeks back I never expected most (if not all) of them to sign on. Smith doesn't usually go for movies where he's not the main star (the reason he turned down Django Unchained), so it's surprising to see him take on a role in an ensemble. Getting Hardy and Leto is very smart. Both very talented, and will do a great job, I reckon.
Also Margot Robbie will be the hottest Harley Quinn ever!
I'm not the biggest fan of Jai Courtney though. I'm hoping it's just been the movies that he's chosen that have made him look bad, but he doesn't interest me much.

Really looking forward to this now.
