I sit in the upper et stand so I don't have a great vision of the close up stuff:
at halftime what happened between stevens and sullivan?I think it came from a line break against us,with Stevvo blowing up...but they continued to argue and fingerpoint as they walked off...didn't look to flash.anyone have any more on this?

no idea, but they did mention it briefly on foxtel as the players walked off, which would tend to indicate that there was something said between the two

It seems, and I stress seems cause I only saw it live from high up,like Stevo was blaming sully or someone nearby for a linebreak against us right on halftime...he sorta blew up in general...and then as they were coming off they were pointing at each other and spraying one another...not in the worst way possible but it didnt seem pleasant either.noddy was trying to calm them down.I mean they came back out played better so it cant have been too bad!
Am sure it was more frustration than anything but it wasn't that great to see either.

From memory Stevo cleaned up 3 times in that set. They were tackles he shouldn't of been having to make. They were all made down through the centre of the ruck and the marker play was sh*thouse. I think you'll find that's what he was blowing up over.

Well lets hope after12 years that Stevo hasfinally learnt, that as themost dominant player on the field, he hasto give it to hishalf backs, wingers & centres, like he did tonight.
If he continues putting Kimmorley, sully, Vagana, Covell in their place likehedid tonight, we will be closer to winning the GF.
Big men rule the world.
Not midget half backs

I have verbal tifs all the time with my missus. I still love her though and after a few minutes we realise how silly it all was and continue our marital bliss. (not that I'm suggesting they are lovers!)

You're spot on with your assessment DaVince. Stevo went off at Sully because he(Stevo) had to do Sully's job for him, the third time Parra almost got away with only a desperate tackle by Stevo saving the day and he gave Sully a spray because he was having a bludge on the open side instead of marking up the centre.

The differnce between having hilder defend and sully defend, hilder makes them tackles, we are in position of having a linebreaking hooker who has trouble defending or defensive hooker, who has trouble linebreaking.

After what i saw today sign Michale Monaghan from manly and play him has hooker

Sully has been disapointing this year . All the teams know him and seem to be able to read and defend him. Maybe we should stick with Hilder . Ive been watching him a bit more lately and and he dose do a lot in defence plus his kicking game should be encouraged, he kicks way long.

I wouldn't read into it too much. This sort of stuff happens all the time, you just don't always see it. Johns is one that sticks in my mind, he'll blow up at the trainer if the water is too cold. He's always screaming at someone out there.

A few beers and I'll bet everything was as right as rain.

We could do worse actually. Monaghan is a very clever player. Your assessment is correct as well. It's time to stop persisting with Sullivan. He has become ineffectual in attack and is simply not big enough to be a ruck defender. The hooker is generally the plug and that little passage of play where Stevo blew up showed that Sully is not up to it defensively. No wonder he's been told to bulk up.

Defence wins games.

If Hilder is injured again this week I might finally get my wish and we only play 1 hooker.
Sulli got 60 mins on Saturday so he might be able to go the distance.
Pity his form isn't great.
Bigger pity if Stevo is out.
A team minus Dykes,Mellor and Stevens facing the Cowboys in Texas isnt an ideal situation.

It's not the props job to clean up marker defence, it's the fresh dummy halfs job to do the hard stuff around there as IMA pointed out.

That's all there was too it.

Stu Raper blew up a treat at halftime, emptied the sheds and let rip, I'm sure marker work was one of his points,.

Saw a post match press conference with Raper and he said that he didn't get personal at half time and just told them that they needed to get some things right - I bet he didn't get personal

did anyone see sullivan on the "sunday roast" - he filled in for matt johns. I reckon he went alright on the show, he was ordinary at best on saturday night though. Hilder has it all over him at the moment.
