their is question marks over ex-all blacks robinson and tom willis (especially willis) and loki crichton but i expect my team to be in the playoffs next year.

lutui from bop would come in for willis maybe.

their was a few talks about nonu going to bay of plenty (as he would then play his preferred position of centre) but i think thats not happening anymore.


the good thing is that the chiefs won;t need to go to the draft unlike highlanders this year and a canes maybe next year.

on;y players they may go for is tim dow (if willis injured) and Sailosi Tagicakibau if crichton out

I must say, the 2006 Super [b[14[/b] Waratahs squad is tremendously weaker than this years squad. It seems the NSWRU got too preoccupied with signing number 8's and flankers and forgot to sign some key positions eg Hooker and Fly Half. It is a shame that a player the calibre of Hoiles is wasted coming off the bench for the Waratahs when the Reds could easily use a player like him.

No matter what anyone says, I am unimpressed with Norton-Knight and Berne as players going by their form in the Toohey's New Cup. Donnelly has been good without being exceptional - but it has been shown that as much as he is a solid player, he is no Larkham.

There is not much depth in the backs at all and I can see the Waratahs turning to a few club players during the season.

liam messem would take the place of latu and ormond on the bench with latu been in the squad with ormond going into the draft.

sean hohneck would be in the squad but not in the 22. at best could take upton's spot.

maybe if auckland lose ali williams to canterbury we could swap upton for derrick witcombe
