Last week results.
Second draw of the season after extra time between Lézignan and Albi. The two teams were unable to decide between themselves on a muddy field.
On another muddy field and under heavy rain leader Carcassonne managed to control young and ambitious team of St Estève XIII Catalan
Away victory for Pia and highest score for Limoux

Due to continuous heavy rain for a week in the main geographical area where french RL is played, four matches out of five have been postponed
.
Only the game between Villefranche and Lézignan will be played. Live on youtube

Las week results:
Another game with an improbable scenario, after 55 minutes of play Lézignan led 20-0 then was overtaken to lose 20-24.

And also in addition to the Toulouse game another has been postponed due to the pitch being in poor condition after heavy rain.

Who do you think will win the competition?
For me the favorites are Carcassonne, Albi and LImoux, in fact they are the first three in the current ranking.

If I say that Carcassonne should win I might be biased because it is the team that I support and in which I am involved

The difference can be made in the fact that Carcassonne is a well-established team, the players know each other well, little change in recent years, many very competitive and experienced players.

Albi, on the contrary, has recruited a lot and has a different team from the one that won the title last year, this can be an handicap.

Limoux has a good group but in the past this team has always struggled to win decisive matches.

The difference will perhaps be made by the coach and the coaching staff, Fred Camel (best French coach for me), Teddy Sadaoui (former international and legend of the club) and Florent Tost (very great technician) for Carcassonne will know how to lead their troop.
Maxime Grésèque (Limoux) and Tony Gigot 'Albi) are more impulsive and can sometimes make bad choices in decisive moments

Thanks for that...

Which club is the club that everyone loves to hate?

In French mentality we often don't like those who win, the success of others so I would say Carcassonne for the other teams, 9 times out of 10 present in the last 10 finals (championship and cup).
For my team at the moment we like the rivalry with Albi, for the last 2 seasons the games are close and tense, each team wanting to put its mark on its opponent.

Another team that “doesn’t like Carcassonne” is Limoux. Limoux small town facing Carcassonne administrative capital of the department, towns 25 kilometers away.
Not the same scale as NSW/Queensland but each meeting is awaited by fans of both teams 🥊⚡

This week was planned as a rest and catch-up weekend.
Only 2 late games played:

(R12) ST ESTÈVE XIII CATALAN vs VILLENEUVE yesterday, Catalans won 66-6 against a weakened team, informed only 4 days before of the place and date of the postponement, a difficult situation as organization for a semi-pro team.

(R6) PIA vs ALBI, played this sunday afternoon and live on Youtube. an ambitious outsider in the competition against the defending champion
