Had a brief look just now and I reckon Aqua D'Amour can win this. Fooram and Molotov will be right up there, but the mares last 2 starts have been good Cup trials. In particular last start being beaten 4l by Eremien.

At 15/1, she is worth a look.

Fooram was in 2nd gear in winning on Saturday.

Will be hard to beat and will see plenty of my hard earn!!

a good sign was when beadman jumped on FOORAM when the distance got longer. he's 2 from 2 this prep now with Beadman on board

and yeah, he was in 2nd gear, if that, on Saturday

and Moffo, how is On A Jeune going to drill anything? have you seen it's runs? it'll be lucky to finish the course the way it's running

Subject to change, but I'd like to see a little bit of rain... County Tyrone a big chance if that happens. He'll still run well if it doesn't, but I'd like to see a little bit of the edge taken out of the track for him. Fooram very hard to beat as is Molotov. The latter is only having his 11th start so a strong 3200m has to be a query.

Demerger and Lachlan River the other 2 chances for mine.

ok i've changed my selection

i'm going with DEMERGER. is in great form and smashed the Adelaide Cup field over 3200m by 6 lengths. will settle back in the field more quieter and if it produces its adelaide cup run - nothing has a chance

FOORAM will run a great race. distance is a query but seems as though he'll handle it

LACHLAN RIVER could be the knockout horse here. only beaten 2.3 behind Diva in Melb Cup and has come back in good form

Race 7 SCHWEPPES SYDNEY CUP (3200m) at 3.30pm

Joice’s thoughts – Fooram is peaking at the right time for in-form trainer John O’Shea. Waltzed home to win the Chairmans – a great lead-up into this. Gets in light, has Beadman to pilot and throw in the favourable barrier drawn and you have one very sound bet. Bookies are feeling generous too – a bit of 9/4 floating around at present. Take the quinella with Lachlan River and another with County Tyrone. They are genuine 3200m horses with a bit of class about them. Any rain and County Tyrone could knock Fooram off but on a firm track it will be how far Fooram.

Payne’s thoughts –Fooram has been awesome at his last two wins and the way he sprinted from the 600m in the Chairman’s and was still going away on the line really got me. Molotov is another very promising stayer and I’m expecting him to be the hardest to beat but I think he’ll be behind Fooram and I doubt he’ll be able to run past the more seasoned galloper. It won’t surprise me if Lachlan River improves here with Glen Colless back in the saddle. His run two starts back was very good and he did run fifth in the Melbourne Cup.
