And, so far in this tour each series has been a whitewash, one a piece. Will this follow suit?

surprised Parraboy hadn't started this one already. Dropping the ball, perhaps

Could have easily, couldnt give us stuff about this game tbh

Suprised you started this thread, considering how much you always say you despise the 20/20 game itself and dont watch it, dropping the ball yourself perhaps?

watching a T20 right now.

Despising the format doesn't mean I shouldn't facilitate discussion about it, plus I don't mind talking about it

Pakistan only claimed this one at at the death. But how insane would the series be if this was another clean sweep?

I think this has been a wonderful tour, even with the clean sweeps thus far. I hope it is just one step in the monumental rise of Pakistan, particularly as a test team.

With India going the way they are and impending retirements, I think Pakistan could replace them as the top sub-continent side

I think all threads should start with "lalala".

The first draft of my honours thesis was littered with lalalas where I intended to write the stuff proper later, and my supervisor told me off for it and forbid me from letting it enter another document which there was the possibility of him seeing. This is my way of rebelling:lol:

on the game itself, despite it being a T20, it's quite interesting in the context of this tour as is this whole T20 series. I think which ever side wins the T20 series will feel like they have won the tour and for different reasons, despite both sides being whitewashed in one of the better and more important forms of the game.

If this series is another whitewash, that would be mental but funny. I personally think winning the test series is what really matters and Pakistan having done so so emphatically was huge. England, however, can take a lot of comfort from the ODI whitewash and it allows them to believe any excuses they can come up with for their massive losses in the tests, but it also feels like a bit of redemption and perhaps proof that they were able to overcome the issues they had in the tests, even if they were a bit late in doing so. I think losing the T20I series as well for England will reinforce that it was indeed a failed series for them. I think for Pakistan, they won the test series, anything else is bonus, but the T20Is as well, would make it a tour victory and help them to forget that they were whitewashed in the ODIs

kind of exciting that this one is going to a decider, it caps off what has been a very good tour

the third one was a bit of an odd T20I. England won the toss elected to bat. KP carried his bat to make an unbeaten 62. England finished with 129, which is the lowest total England have ever defended in a T20I. I am not sure if I have ever seen a lower target than 130 ever be set to a team batting second in a T20I.

The English bowling was very good and despite wickets in hand Pakistan were kept well out. Coming into the penultimate over, Pakistan required 17 runs from 12 balls with 7 wickets in hand. There was a misfield in that over that let a four through, but it was almost a perfect over otherwise including the wicket of Umar Akmal. So, form the last over, Pakistan required 13 runs from 6 balls, with 6 wickets in hand and Dernbach was to bowl it and Shahid Afridi and Misbah-ul-Haq at the crease. First ball, 2 runs, second ball, 1 run and Shahid Afridi run out, Hammad Azam to the crease. Third ball 1 run, forth ball wide, forth ball (number 2), 1 run, fifth ball 1 run. So, Pakistan needed a six off the final ball. Sixth ball, Misbah clean bowled.

So England have finished this tour quite well. Pakistan however whitewashed the test series and I hope they continue to rise from here
