TAB prove that they are cheating pricks again

5:25pm on Saturday

5 minutes before kickoff

I put $10 on Elford on Footy TAB, unaware of the final teams, that are announced 1 hour before kick off

I turn the tele on to watch. Turns out that Elford is out! No refund either. Geez they are greedy pricks. I was too lazy to switch betting groups after the Fremantle debacle but I think I'm going to now

Standard rules for 1st, last try scorers. You have not been ripped off...it is all in betting.
It is like betting on a horse to win the melbourne cup in July, only for it to be scratched in October...$$$$$$$$ gone.

Yeah it's strange.

Sometimes they suspend betting when players are in doubt etc. But normally that is with the head to head try scoring.

First try scorer is a bit different as it's all in betting. Still, you'd think they could have suspended betting if they knew he was in doubt.

i think the issue is that it really shouldn't be all-in betting AFTER the teams have been announced

but the rules are the rules

Hmm...interesting.

I understand the all in betting rule...but surely if a guy pulls out of a team, the TAB shouldnt be accepting bets on him to score the first try.

Downright rude and more to the point, immoral.

Whilst i agree in essense to the fact that the bet shouldnt have been able to be made
( TAB should have cancelled his code)

WHY THE f**k WERE YOU BACKING THAT GIMP ANYWAY !!!!! is the real question at hand

Answer that question, and you will find true happiness Moffo

because im a gimp!

no, its wrong. the rules are wrong. the tab don't let you back a horse after its been scratched, why is it any different for footy players?

Face it, the TAB are greedy, greedy pricks. And they are getting worse because their revenue is decreasing. Maybe one day they will wake up to themselves

I agree that it's wrong Moffo. At first I thought you were an idiot, but then I realised that teams have to name a side an hour before kickoff. So the TAB should put up odds on those teams with "player not quoted" in case of an injury in the warmup.
I think the moral of the story is:

1. Never bet with Sportstab.

2. Make sure you know which players are in the team if you're having a bet on them.

In QLD the TAB will not refund your bet if a player was ruled out after your bet was placed. However if the player was ruled out before your bet was placed and is still listed they will refund it.

They have to do it because they take bets on players not named.
If they didn't take bets on that then tthey could refund or give the player that replaced him that was named.
If you can figure that out.
