Wee bit younger (in 50's !!!) and loved playing TT as a kid / teenager.

Should check into social TT comps in my neck of the words.

Also a table tennis enthusiast. Not a fan of watching it though.

I like playing it (not very good at it) but wouldn't really watch it... you simply can't beat those Asians.

I love spiking the balls.

Looking at TT as an activity / hobby sport as a mid 50's bloke.

Good for coordination, balance and some aerobic exercise. Can be played all year round as well and not impacted by weather.

Bit of research shows that it is a game many play well into their 70's with their being a (Qld) State Championships age category of Over 70's (or U/ 75 ?). Also pretty much equality in ability between the genders.

The governing bodies could possibly find some ways to better promote it as a sport / activity.
