if any of you can get down to that CSSC meeting im sure that will outline what needs doing.

Yep. This meeting will basically be split into two parts.

1. The developers will explain the development process, where we are in that process, what needs to happen etc. They'll also outline many of the features of the development and take questions relating to the development.

2. We will then take over, and explain to the people in attendance who they should be writing to (ie. department of planning, council, State MPs etc.) and what the content of their messages should include. We will have some printed material so hopefully it will all be foolproof.

The hope is that those in attendance will not only leave the night knowing exactly what they have to do to help get this development over the line, but also what they can tell others to convince them to do the same.

There probably won't be a lot of particularly new information. I think most of us who are interested enough in the cause to be talking about it online are pretty highly informed. The goal is primarily to help those who are more on the periphery - Sharks fans who love the club and team and want to do all that they can to help, but are a bit disconnected and aren't entirely sure what they can do.

In saying that, there's no harm in anyone coming along even if they do feel pretty well informed. Show of numbers and all that.

Another point worth noting ,in my as yet, draft only submission to council and the planning mob,I noted the fact the club was given council approval on their previous car park residential development, which involved underground car parking. That would have disturbed the ground fill,to a far greater extent than the new development proposal(above ground parking).
It is important to note the extent of environmental detail the new development proposals have gone into,to not only improvement to the current environment but continuous protection after the completion.

Why are you worried?

That means you'll be able to go Piss Ant!

You know you possess all the known symptoms of bipolar disorder. The top 2 being your repulsive attempts at sexual humour. Secondly, your inability to process even the slightest form of humour, even if it is recycled from a Ben Stiller movie. You absolute dope.

Thanks Newman, I just returned from 2 weeks holiday but will make a submission as a non Shire resident long term supporter. The 2 big selling points in my mind are the employment creation through construction and additional retail jobs, and increasing the Shire's housing stock. I would also add that the club provides the Shire with a heap of social capital that cant be replaced if the club disintegrates.
