Yeh, but liked him from the moment first saw him place in that game against the poms; don’t see enough of the lower grades to fully assess, but thought he had something… disappointed when he left

He made the right choice for his career good for him. Raiders are looking tough at the moment and unfortunately we play them twice only a few weeks apart so that's 2 losses.

As I recall there were many posters in the know who said Tamale was a weapon but 'terribly lacking in defence' and 'not ready for first grade'.

Now I can think of two things that happen from here.

His candle burns out quickly after a purple patch and he becomes nothing but a regular first grader with no special appeal.

Think Schiller or Saab (or Sloan)

OR

His meteoric rise continues and we realise we let a star/household name slip through our fingers.

Think Bostock or Garrick.

We have Sione Finau right now. Our club should have coaches that improve players like him and we should have recruitment staff that can identify talent properly with great perception. Then we need to be able to retain the correct players. We won't keep them all. We have a lot of wing options currently.

Time will tell about Tamale. I wouldn't be getting my knickers in a not yet.

That’s exactly the way it is. We are arm chair experts . You are never going to get them all correct. It’s just the way

Possibly. But personally I see far more upside in him than Sloan, Finau, Allen, Lawson and Feagai….

Some bright spark at the Illawarra dargons thinks it’s better to keep Sloan and let the hot Tamale go. That’s the dargons for ya

I see Tamale and wonder how Tuipolotu, Rava and Sloan got picked ahead of him. How?

I also see Suli and wonder how Garrick and Bostock were not ahead of him? Bostock is also proving to be a weapon.

The Saints backline could have been Tamale, Lomax, Garrick and Bostock. They would have been cheaper to keep than Val, Suli and Tuipolotu.

This is why I am not fussed about Saints not bringing in from other clubs as they have been burnt way too many times of late. The should simply look within unless you have a position in the spine which Saints need at the time to plug gaps. Atkinson will be a great addition in the halves as that is where they are seriously struggling however LKT showed glimpses of being a solid first grader. That try he set up for Egan against the Tigers was a ripper.

Bostock was fantastic last year.......but I gotta say, he has been a non-event this year. I would not be surprised to see him dropped as he has been pretty shit.
