Tame Tupou

There is a classic match on fox sports at present.

Broncos v Knights in 2006.

Tame Tupou is on the wing for the Broncos and is virtually a "love child" of Tuiaki and Tony Williams.

If he can regain 85% of the form he is showing in this game, he will be a blockbuster for us.

He`s big and fast, but has bad hands, he`s terrible under the high ball and quite often comes off his wing when it`s not needed. At the Broncos he was very inconsistent, he was in and out of first grade because of this and after being out injured for virtually 2 seasons, I can`t imagine this would have improved ?

But, apart from that.........

Unlimited in ability, but brainless. I`d like to think that this has improved with maturity, but I wouldn`t be holding my breath, that`s for sure !

On the bright side, he`s costing us next to nothing which is more I can say for Geoff Daniela who is a very average footballer whom I believe we are paying fairly decent money for.

Mitch Brown has them both well and truly covered for a wing spot.

Vish, was Tuiaki any different when he came into firsts on the wing?? A couple years on, he's arguably the most devastating winger running around this year. Not saying Tupou will get there, will be hard after his injuries and not playing any footy, but just based on his potential he presents as a better option than Slow Ryan.

In 2006 with Brisbane he was becoming a very good winger. Before he got injured he was improving under the high ball in defense to the point where he became consistent. He was unfortunate to have his injury late in the year where the Broncos started winning games again and couldn't make his way back into team.

cant wait to have 2 big wingers instead of beau ryan, then tigers can spread the ball to both sides and we will become more unpredictable

btw Is rhys hanbury getting released? hope so
