Quite a few years ago, the Whitlams had a song out called "Blow Up The Pokies". After the past two Saturdays, it should be renamed "Blow Up Tattsbet".
Why? On Australian Derby Day last week, Tattsbet's computer system had a meltdown mid afternoon and didn't recover for several hours. On what is one of Australia's biggest racedays, Tattsbet need to pick up their act considerably. It cost me about $780 profit for the afternoon.
Yesterday I was experiencing ever slowing service from Tattsbet's internet site from 3.00 pm onwards. Trying to put on a trifecta for the Doncaster was impossible - for 15 minutes before the jump I attempted to do this without success. Lucky the bastard didn't get up or I'd be screaming.
Is Tattsbet a product of Can Bullshit Newman's funding cuts? You'd think Tattsbet would be rolling in money when their dividends, especially exotics, are almost always the lowest of the three government run totalisator organisations.
