I been having a look at the possible path for her (Tess) and if they are Oaks bound, as Nuffs said, she may not run in the 1000 Guineas...
That run on Saturday was 3rd up over 1500m (1400 and 1200 being the other 2). So next start could well be over 1600m (Spring Champion 7th of October?).
If they are heading to the Oaks, you'd be looking at a 2000m race next then into the Oaks... The 1000 Guineas is 1600m on the 18th of October. If they run in that, they'd then need to slot a 2000m run in then into the Oaks. That would mean her 7th run of the prep would be the Oaks (perhaps 1 to many???).
In saying that, if you look at her only other prep (expertform.com) she ran 3 1200m races then 2 1600m races before going for a spell. The last one being a Group 1 where she finished 3rd behind Mentality and Miss Finland. The only other 1600m race was the Listed race she won beating Anamoto.
So I'm thinking that if they believe she's a real Oaks chance she'll be running over 2000m around the time of the 1000 Guineas. If not, she'll be running in the 1000 Guineas 5th run of the prep over 1600m. As mentioned above, last prep at her 5th run, it was a 3rd in a Group 1 over 1600m beaten just under a length by Mentality and Miss Finland...
Here's hoping it's the 1000 Guineas!!! Just had a look and she's now 3rd favourite at $7. Miss Finland (who may well take on the boys instead) is at $2.25 and Anamoto (who Tess beat over the same trip) is at $3.50.
