I really admire Duftys GUTS! he tried his arse off major judos for his hard work and great attempt to be our FB but hes had enough time now to show what hes got but sadly for him has failed miserably defensively and is constantly ragged dolled in attack .....to small to make any impact apart from lucky breaks once per half not enough, Im hoping we sign DWZ as ALL serious teams have GUN fullbacks.... then Lomax can go to his natural position as centre and learn to do his thing in first grade, he will be as good as he has been in the juniors im sure he has it written all over him just needs some game time against men in first grade but im sure hell be a super centre for us with a few games there

Robson is a gun they should throw the kitchen sink at him and retain him for now as a ball playing lock , he will cover for mighty Jack nicely until we can unload Mcinnes in a season or 2 then can be our superstar hooker for many years

not for this week but my ideal team:

Saab ( I say get im in there, fast track the guy hes so good if youve seen him play or kept an eye on him hell make it I think hes by far our best most natural winger)

Lafai ( but id prefer James Roberts! go hard for Jimmy the Jet and if were lucky unload Tim, plenty of SPEED at the back and in the centres then!)

for the other flank well surely with the right coach we can make a good winger out of one of either Ravi, Pearson or Periera to go with Saab wholl be a superstar in the mould of legendary WENDEL id say

Like me, I think most SGI fans would rather just go to the game and watch our Saints play a good game of football; obviously we always want them to win. lately I find myself full of disappointment after games lately even when we win just by a point. But more than this, I find myself thinking and commenting on management and administrative shortfalls within our Club; something I would rather not do. I would love to be touting how professional and superior we are in this area.

It was many years ago now that I did not pay any attention at all to the workings of our Cub. In those days it was a given that we were the most professional and most successful club in the rugby league world. It was wonderful just going to the footy and watching our team put in a great effort every game and winning most games as well.

This is getting delusional. We have 1 spot available on the roster and another that has to be filled by a like for like player to replace JDB.
Some have multiple DS players now in the squad, whilst some have players they've never seen play filling in positions they have never played in and added to that players who have failed miserably in positions in CC are now put in those positions in 1st grade,

McGregor hates change so don't expect much difference from last week. MacGregor has no problem with blokes backing up after origin so expect Hunt, Vaughn and Frizz to back up. MacGregor likes players with solid first grade experience, so forget about blooding any more juniors. I reckon it'll just be Latimore for Graham, and maybe Maranta for Lafai. And if Norman returns don't be surprised if Robson is dropped to make room for Field on the bench.
