Firstly as i like to do with my mate every week after a loss the 3,2,1 for worst players on the feild

3 - Nick Graham - Utterly and souley for that patheticly weak, non attampt of a tackle on Riddell. That bought up the big 50 as Riddell pointed out, a disgusting heartless effort. I dont expect much from graham but he seems like a man uninterested completly.

2- Prince - Wow had a total shocker in defense, several flimse efforts. Some bad choices in the kicking game - kicking too early, not kicking at all, kicking for himself. Having said that we has to do it all himself with Wilson at 5/8, i noted a Dragon on every 5th tackle sprinting straight at Scotty, which meant he had to run and rush things, i guess thats what happens when you have only got one kicking option

1 - Hodgo - Had a shocker, one of those days, he will be back thats for sure

The forwards were completly outplayed which often makes the fullback and halfback vunerable to bad games. Just one of those days, most teams in the comp have one, no one would of touched saints this week.

Next Weeks Team

Richards/Fitzhenry
Elford

I don`t think that side will be too far off the mark. Will Sattler and/or O`Neill be fit?Onlyproblem I have is Gibbs omission.I thaught he done his best under the circumstances.Where was Rhino?I`m a huge fan of his,but he didn`t seem to be involved.Did he get little game time or was he just unusually quiet?Whats the John Wilson story?Last week his defence was rock solid, whilst this week i`m sure he had more misses than hits.Is he the type of player who plays well when the team is going well, but won`t have a go when times are tough?

Galea was sorely missed today. In the last 6 weeks, he's come back to his best form. Hopefully Sheens will find a place for him, if not in the backrow well at lest on the interchange bench. Today's thrashing was a very big wake up call for the club. Hopefully, something positive will become of this...

Big bopper. Harrison or Fulton drop off making way for Gibbs or Cashy or Smally.

Today once again proved we lack size and power.Again I don`t think Gibbs deserves to be dropped. But in the past i`ve been fairly impressed with Jamie Small. However after watching Premier League today,i`m not so sure about him.Although his side was way under strengthed,I thaught he was a bit disappointing. He spent too much of the game with his hands on his hips for my liking, although in saying that he was pretty much a one man band in the forwards! As for Ray Cashmere,he definately has the size we are looking for and may well be worth a try to see if he will step his game up a notch given a chance in the top grade. The only problem with him is that i`m yet to see him really charge full steam at the defence!

ATM we are just lacking that one sizeable, quality frontrower off the bench once payten or skando come off to give some more go forwards - we are relyin to much on our young backrowers to get the hrad metres.

i think stick with the team ANNOUNCED ON TUESDAY and a few minor changes, swapping richards for fitzhenry, kerr to 5/8 wilson to reserve grade

if oneil is back, throw him in place of rhino, but throw him on the bench. oneil isnt a game breaker but he does the little things players like fulton, harrison, gibbs cant do at the moment. give them time

i think todays loss highlighted the importance of sattler and even o'neil to the team. they are the steadying influences who make the tackles that count and keep the boys revved up. we never looked ready or aggressive in the game.

for next week, kerr is a must. he's been good when in and scotty needs some help. prince also shouldn't be defending at centre as he was today. when teams have big centres (like the roosters and dragons he doesn't have the power to put them down when they have steam. But thats not his job. Elford and halatau need to do that.

Graham never to be seen again, and while i dont like it, as i think gobbs said, seeing micky b got so much time today (who did he replace?heigno?) i think he'll be there somewhere next week.

i'd go for a pack of payten, senter, skando, oneil, laffranchi, sattler - bench mears, gibbs, heigno/harrison and small/cashy. fulton to get time against the raiders. i know this look a fairly defensive team but against the roosters we need to defend well, unlke today, and try play simple and effective footy. if we go for too much impact it could be hit or miss whether it works or not and its too risky to do that against the roosters. 2 big scores against us in a row could hurt us. play it safe then go for it more against the lesser teams.

If Beuttner is in the centres you can be certain easts will carve us up.

I like the combination of Richards and Elford (they looked spectacular in the 7s). I'd like to see that combo again. :)
