Tony Quirk and Mitch Brennan
Probably not ommissions but people showing their age. I started following them in 79 so did not get to see them go around. Their records speak volumes on how great they were but since this team is based on favourites it would be on who people enjoyed watching I say.
If it was based on best side it would be filled with players from 1956 - 1966.
Love this. This is about my vintage. Would probably swap your bottom three reserves for some others though. Not that I don't rate them. I've just got other favourites.Showing my age, but here goes :
1 Brian Johnson
2 Nathan Blacklock
3 Graham Quinn
4 Graeme Langlands
5 Jason Nightingale
6 Rod McGregor
7 Mark Shulman
8 Rod Reddy - in spite of everything
9 Barry Beath
10 Robert Stone
11 John Jansen
12 John Dowling
13 Bruce Starkey
No poncey International numbering, either - props wear 11 & 13.
Bench :
Wouldn't need one, they're all far too tough. But if I have to :
14 Billy Smith
15 Colin Fraser
16 Wayne Bartrim
17 Pat Jarvis
The back five are the hardest
1. Potter just over Johnson
2. Walford just over Flo
3. Mark Gasiner just over Mark Coyne (the hardest decision)
4. Cooper just over the Penguin
5. B.Moz just over Blacklock
6.Soward
7. Steve Morris
8. Luke Bailey
9. Nathan Brown
10. Craig Young
11. Graeme Wing - don't ask me why just recall him as a kid busting through tackles and getting into open space (probably happened just once).
12. John Fifita - even though he had hands like feet.
13. Jeremy Smith
RES:

this could be the hardest challenge ever set on a post here (apart from trying to split Sharks and Dogs as most hated...) Great post...going to have to work on this one...but Slippery will be there at 7 in my team. I'd still pick him!
