Just a note and if anyone else knows if he is injured let me know but Brendan Oake hasn't been named in the Flegg side. Assuming he isn't injured this could count for some changes occuring? Everyone knows Smith likes to sheild any players making their debuts and Thorman would be big news if he does play anyway!

Langi was a must for first grade - he shouldn't have been dropped last week however Petersen and Prince deserved their spots.

The side selected was predictable however the changes will be made IMO.

This listed team was fairly predictable with the only change being made at this stage for the injury to Prince (Langi in, Petersen to the wing). Smith as Smith is was never really going to make any real changes to the 'listed team' for a team that had to be named 6 days before the match is even played. I would expect this team to change by kick off in 6 days time and wouldnt read too much into it.

Let's look on the bright side: Kativerata didn't get the call up for Prince, phew! :?

I agree with Colonel & Chipmunk, there will be some slight changes by Monday and there was really no way Smith was ever going to name Thorman or Muspratt etc in the side even if he has intentions to play them.

...oh and the other positive: Petersen isn't in the centres!

I don't think O'Dwyer is really ready to take on the role of 5/8th for us yet Jess. Infact, I'd be more inclined to put him back in Prems to develop his game a bit more. He's a very good kid but he has been rushed too soon into first grade due to injury (to Hopkins & Muckert) and should spend some more time in reggies. I'd rather see Shane Muspratt given a go at 5/8th or Morris. I like your back 5 though.

The 17 he named last tuesday all played, and i would expect that the same will happen this week, unless illness, or someone does not fully recover from a knock over the weekend.

Yeah I'd be inclined to give O'Dwyer a run in Prems too, just for a few weeks.

Don't like Deano starting either, Jess. He is our gun forward off the bencha nd I wouldn't want him exhausted after having to play the first 20 minutes against a Rabbitohs pack that is going to come out all guns blazing.

50/50 on whether Smith will change the team. he hasn't really so far this year, but then again we all know that he likes to pull his little tricks. Wouldn't be surprised to see Wagon to lock, O'Dwyer to bench of Divvy and Thorman or Witt coming into the halves.

Wait and see I guess, as always.

I'm willing to bet that this is the 17, excluding Pearson as the 18th.

Feliti Matoe (sp) is missing from Flegg.

its not a demotion, just a chance for him to use what he has learnt in Firsts, and a chance to hone his skills a bit more.

let's not forget he came straight from the Qld Cup..........

I think O'Dwyer should play in the centres, and move Wags back to lock.

I dont think Moi Moi's up to standard yet, he's not fit enough.

Fui still needs some time in reggies being able to play 20 mins at a time in reggies is like 15 mins and in some games 10 mins in the top grade.
