We hear a lot about needing consistency in selection. Im not attached to Nikorima and he clearly needs a kick up the bum from time to time. But we had a full pre-season to determine who is the best pick for the halves.
Already after round 1 we have a completely new halves pairing. One down to injury admittedly.
But Brown thought Nikorima was good enough last week - this week he's not good enough.

Maybe Brown would've played CHT in the halves last week if Walsh had been available?

Agree to a degree, imo DWZ should have been 1 and CHT 6, but I didn’t see pre season, I think Nikorima is a flog but if he was the guy week 1 and the test fullback doesn’t get #1 I’m struggling to see any logic

We've had a couple of years now. We keep on leaving the light on for Nikorima and he seldom comes home. Brown basically said that the choice was between dropping CHT or Nikorima and he thought CHT showed a bit more.
