Wallace deserves another chance IMO.

When given a kick it went 60 metres and cleared the fullback. Gower then fugged up every other kick in the game except for a few Wallace bombs.

Also Priddis' distribution was aweful, too many passes at the bootlaces or above the head.

Fair enough.

I agree.

From what I saw at the game, Gower's kicking was awful.

I live near Cronulla, and have a lot of sharkies mates. I've got a flu and a earful of cronulla supporter dribble thanks to last nights performance. haha. Not good.

That performance wasn't anywhere near where we could play.

I think....all crap aside...that the team NAMED will the exact same, except Smith to be out, and Pritchard in.

I've posted a team elsewhere that leaves wallace out in favour of Firman, however that was simply because I though Firman might give us a bit more in attack. Wallace did nothing wrong last night and any mistakes he may have made were certainly no worse than that made by some others. I certainly wouldn't be angry if we persisted with him for a little while longer at least.

Gower was deadset aweful last night.

Never gave clean ball to anyone, nobody could have created space with his passing.

Wesser was AWOL as far as support play goes.

I didn't think we were all that bad in most areas. What killed us was terrible ball control and stupid fifth tackle options. In defence we were better then last year and in attack we did miss something, but i think that will come with more time on the field.

Although i'd change our line-up a little. IMO, our strongest line-up would be:

1. Rhys Wesser
2. Michael Jennings
3. Michael Gordon
4. Luke Lewis
5. Luke Rooney
6. Brett Firman
7. Craig Gower
8. Joel Clinton
9. Luke Priddis
10. Trent Waterhouse
11. Matthew Cross
12. Tony Puletua
13. Frank Pritchard

14. Frank Puletua
15. Matthew Bell
16. Junior Moors
17. Paul Aiton

Peter Wallace had a good game, but i think Brett Firman will have a terrific year with us, and should be our first option at 5/8. At any rate, Pritchard being in our team will help us out a fair bit on the bench, even if he starts.

Here's what I would go with

1. Rhys Wesser
2. Geoff Daniela
3. Michael Jennings
4. Luke Lewis
5. Michael Gordon
6. Craig Gower
7. Brett Firman
8. Joel Clinton
9. Paul Aiton
10. Trent Waterhouse
11. Frank Pritchard
12. Tony Puletua
13. Luke Priddis

14. Steve O'Bierne
15. Matthew Bell
16. Junior Moors
17. Nathan Smith

Matthew Cross, Frank Puletua and Luke Rooney to Premier League. Rooney to be bulked up and moved to the forwards as I don't think he has the pace of a winger anymore.
Cross to Premier League to improve his work rate (17 tackles for 4 misses, 2 hit ups for 40m gained) not enough work for a starter.

I agree with you with dropping Luke Rooney. He has pretty much done nothing for 2 years now. Daniela continues to impress, and must be very close to selection, as is Jennings.

Why do you want to drop Rooney seriously?

I thought he was very impressive on Saturday and one of our better players.

He ran hard consistently, looked fitter and i think is about to explode. I was impressed by his performance. No way should he be dropped.

Junior Moors played very well.

Didn't miss a tackle all night, didn't do anything wrong and all in all had a solid debut. He should be retained.

Moke wont debut till at least round 8 i wouldn't think.

Jennings possibly...but i'm thinking Round 4 they are leaning towards.

I don't expect Matt Elliot to make any changes for the Bulldogs.

Surely he has to show faith with the 17 he put out against the Sharks.

If there is to be a change it will most likely be Frank Pritchard for Brendon Worth. Pritchard into the starting 13 and Frank P/Matt Cross onto the interchange bench.

Pritchard said at the game on Saturday night he is fit and hopeful of being selected for friday night.

If Pritchard comes back someone will need to go and I think Worth.Youngquest could also be replaced but depends on how fit Jennings is.

I think Matt Cross's metres gained was a misprint. His actual stats were 2 hitups 4 metres gained not 40 metres.
