The F7s Committee have cast their votes and are pleased to invite the foillowing teams to take part in the 2007 F7s competition:
Eels
Bluebags
Panthers
Rabbitohs
Knights
Warriors
Ninjas
Cougars
8 teams in total
Congratulations to the teams! :thumn
For those who don't know, The Lions and Sharks have decided to merge into the one team, the Cougars.
The Raiders and the Pirates withdrew their bid. The F7s wishes those teams the very best and we hope to see you all around at some later date.
Easts were another team who put up their hand for 2007, but unfortunately the Committee decided against including them in the competition this year. It wasnt easy decision and everyone wanted to see Easts back, but the Committee members deemed that there wasnt enough activity happening out of the Easts camp. To the Easts players, please feel free to give it another go. Perhaps later this year, play a few trials and force that door open!
Good news and special congrats to the Chuck Norris Texas Death Ninjas! The Ninjas were unsuccessful in their bid for last years competition but showed true grit by hanging in there to have another go this year.
In other news
The semi-finals will be a top 4 in 2007. The exact make up of this will be announced before the end of the month.
The 2007 draw will be put together and it too will be posted sometime in February.
The Committee members are still mulling over a few things in the sheds, namely proposed rule changes. This will all be revealed in the near future.
Good luck to one and all. Long live the Forum Sevens!
Cheers.
