We should Look at signing
LOCK: Kurt Mann
PROP: Jaiyden Hunt, Josh Kerr
No chance with these guys either
Woollongong has just moved,so apparently it’s further then it it used to be when they were last here and they each have friends at other clubs now so they would rather play with them
There could be no other possible reason

would we all be happy forking out reportedly $2 million for three seasons?

He's had one breakout year, with assistance of a formidable pack, and they've almost tripled (2.8X) his last P/A contract for 3 yrs.

Maybe good value but can't see Flanno offering that much.

Another failure. We're desperate for good props and we barely put up a fight when any become available, again outbid, outplayed, this time by a Wooden Spoon team with an iffy coach.
We were bottom 3 for metres gained last year and have failed to do anything about it.

Bump
May is making a clear choice of who he thinks is the better coach for his career development out of Flano Ryles and Benji
A failure to sign May tells us alot about the current stance of our club when we can not compete against the cellar dwellers
No more excuses
Its time
At this point we have only signed players that have not been chased by any other club and even then we have overpaid and have given them their terms in the length of contracts

Sorry to say but we are lacking some decent forward power and unless we sign a couple we will not progress past last years level...all well and good to be signing backs but we were very weak up the middle last year..
I used to think that as well but now I'm not so sure. I think Flanno will sign one for the right price but I keep going back to our two hookers?? I think we might see a different game plan next year based more on speed and mobile forwards. Get ready for Dragon Ball.

If May has openly said he can be unmotivated at times and then not wanting to travel, I'd question his ambitions and his overall desire. Let's see how his attitude if he isn't on a winning team like he was at the Roosters. If he were to come to Saints, it would have only been because we blew out everyone else's offer. I've had people leave the business I work at for slightly less pay only because their new employment is 20% less work or they know their boss is more flexible and won't go hard on them. Some people are just built differently.

This is why Atkinson was so attractive. With the two quick hookers, and hopefully fast play-the-balls...

So you have spoken to him and he has told you personally that Benji is a better coach than Flanagan who has won a premiership? Secondly you also know that the fact that Luai and Sinai Turuva both Penrith players that I assume he knew were now at the Tigers had nothing to do with his decision?

Last I heard Flanno was only talking to May and no offer was made yet. I knew he would go to Tigers. He can have an easier offseason training at the WT whereas at the Saints he would get flogged and based on previous comments his motivation to work hard fits into the Tigers culture.

I don’t know more than others on this forum, but the way some speak with authority about who thinks what, and how so and so decided one way or another, without any real knowledge is comical.

Flano is building the team he wants, I think he knows best.
