I was just about to post a response to the thread about my sacking when it seems it was locked - this has never happened to me before, so I'll tread carefully. I'm hoping that the powers above are not going to delete this thread - I would hate it to look like I was being silenced.
I won't comment on the reasons for my sacking - nor will I mention names - rest assured that this post isn't meant to stir up trouble.
This post is simply a response to those who offered their support - particularly Antonius and Roopy. While your efforts to return me to moderating land were unsuccessful (I have no wish to return given the reasoning I'm being given by admin now), I do nevertheless appreciate the support.
Furthermore, without detailing the issue in question, I'd like to reiterate that I still believe my actions were both justified and appropriate. While truthfulness can damage people sometimes, as a supporter of freedom of both information and communication, I remain mystified by what has occurred - there has been a misunderstanding in the intentions and outcome of what I wrote.
Once again: I wouldn't want this thread to be locked also, or indeed deleted, so bear in mind this is just me thanking people for their support.
My confidence in democracy in public has never been stronger, but my confidence in truthfulness is waning following 'incidents' over the last 48 hours. :?
Suffice to say Original_Chook will not be returning to mod status - believe me it is much less troublesome just as a normal member.
